A lovely cool day 🙂 cloudy with a nice breeze and about 21c.  I'm hoping it will mean I get some sleep tonight but I fear the lack of sleep is my hip meaning I meant to sleep on my back which I hate, I did swap bedrooms in the middle of the night and then back again a hour later  :|

My morning walk was interrupted by a half hour chat with someone who lives behind me, we share the same garage block.  He knew I had had a hip replacement (not sure if a lucky guess seeing me walking around the same route several times a day with a stick or gossiping neighbours?) and told me about both of his 😁.  It seem his neighbour had one three months ago and as she lived alone they wouldn't let her have it unless she booked herself into care home for two weeks at £800 pre week, I wouldn't tell my sister that! We did stand and I caught up on the local gossip for half a hour, it was very pleasant

Sardines on toast for lunch.  Second pice of salmon with rice and tenderstem broccoli with chilli jam for dinner

    Good morning everyone,
Shaping up to be a hot one here today. My family are coming for dinner in the garden this evening. I've pork marinating which I'll pop in the slow cooker soon and we'll also bbq some chicken, corn and pita. With various salads that should do us nicely. I'll prep the veg for coleslaw etc. soon before the kitchen gets too warm. Lunch is tbc possibly a bacon and egg wrap.

I had toast as usual and I'm about to have some strawberries and a warm drink, even though it is still fairly warm.

Bit more gentle domesticating this morning then went to meet family for a swim, didn’t swim more than about a length but kids had fun 🤩

Home for ricotta and artichoke flatbread with green salad for lunch.

Pottered around this afternoon and then made salmon Niçoise salad for tea.

Was awake far too early this morning so in bed and won’t be late to sleep 😴

I'm not sure what hospital she went to, I believe she chose the care home but was to,d they wouldn't let her have the op if she was going home with no support, she is older than me.  My hospital confirmed multiple times leading up to the operation that I had someone staying with me afterwards.

No cloud cover today so hotter than yesterday, it was ok with curtains drawn and I did my walk early and again after dinner.

Cheese, crackers and tomatoes for dinner, a friend gave me so me of hers 😋

Mackerel fillet, new potatoes and tenderstem broccoli for dinner

    Good morning everyone,
Ramping up to be another scorcher here today. I ended up a bit frazzled by the heat in my kitchen yesterday afternoon and had to let the kids take over preparing dinner after my legs and feet decided to swell up. Thankfully I'd done all the main stuff so it was just a case of finishing salads etc. However iffy legs apart I had a lovely evening. There's few LOs but not masses so they'll get used up for lunch. DS2 is on holiday this week and is busy oiling the deck, my plans are to stay out of the way and after I've put the kitchen to rights to a lot of not very much! Thai green pork and veg curry for dinner,

Cooler day today, it was a scorcher yesterday over DDs.
What with the heat & driving, I'm a tad puffed out today, so not up too much if I can avoid it.

Lunch, peanut butter on a slice
Dinner, following Caron & it's curry, but nowhere near as nice. Mine will be an instant stab & ping RM.

Had a lovely day out yesterday, nice and healthy picnic lunch then a pizza delivery later  B)

Hard boiled a couple of eggs for an easy salad at lunchtime.

Defrosting bbq pork belly for dinner tonight with some rice and veg.

Love the idea of a curry I haven't had one in a while, that’ll go on the list for this week  :)

It feels much cooler. I could go to a class today, but I feel too lazy even though I had 12 hours sleep again. I had a shower and got back into my pyjamas. I had some Quorn ham slices in a buttered baton and some grapes and some crisps.

I might make baked potatoes later as I had one yesterday and it was really nice, maybe with baked beans and cheese.
