Months go by with nothing happening then a special show last night from the dolphins. There were possibly 5 or 6 of them, difficult to tell as they were moving so fast, they spent about 10mins in the bay leaping about and looked to be having a great old time   :)

Got the housekeeping chores done early this morning as the heat is building again, guacamole and veg sticks prepped for lunch.

More freezer stock being used tonight; leftover roast lamb and some greek yoghurt which I’ll use to make this recipe https://www.oliveandmango.com/leftover-roasted-lamb-gyros/

Another sunny & warm day ahead, of course now back to restless warm night as well, but at least it was just heat & not my back keeping me awake.

My back is nearly all over, bar the shouting. As long as I take it steady for a bit, I should be OK.

With improved back I managed to pick three carrier bags of apples yesterday
Made a blackberry & apple crumble this morning, I'll stew & freeze the remaining apples over the next week or so
Still some on the tree, plus windfalls, no shortage of apples here

Lunch, sample the B & A crumble + raspberry ripple ice cream
Dinner, some frozen RM stab & ping

    Good morning everyone,
Nice looking gyros recipe N2BT.  :)
Sunny and war here today, it's forecast to be a bit warmer than I like for a couple of days so don't plan to do much.
Last night curry needed a good bit more spice than the recipe said and made lots of sauce but ended up being really tasty and I'd make again. There's enough sauce LO to freeze as the basis for another meal.
Soup again for lunch. Tonight my sis is coming for dinner, if it isn't too midgy we might eat in the garden. We're having minced beef tacos and I cooked the mince mix yesterday so really just the sides to sort out later.

Long day at an in person meeting, at least there was air con 🙃

Picked up an M&S salad for lunch using an employee perk scheme. Quick and easy pasta with pesto, broccoli and half a tin of tuna that needed eating tonight.

Too darn hot today about 32c I'm not looking forward to going to bed i have been waking every two hours before it was this hot and sticky.

i did my required quarter of a mile walk this morning and chatted to a neighbour for a while, her garden backs onto the close and she has a gate in her fence.  She was walking her neighbours door a lovely border collie who is obsessed with leaves and doesn't understand you can't really play fetch with them 😁 a friend popped around late morning for a gossip.

smoked salmon and cream cheese part baked roll for lunch.  Sausage roll and salad for dinner it was bbq and pork and far too much sauce which wasn't pleasant so I picked out the pork and had a slice of toast and marmalade at 10pm!

I had a small walk to the end of the road after dinner and his lordship walked with me, I didn't realise how loud I was threatening him about getting under my feet until I heard a neighbour laughing 🙀

    Good morning everyone
Lol re His Lordship accompanying you Brambling. :D
Sunny and hot here, I'm seeking the cool parts of the house and wearing a tent   aka a very oversized dress that would fit more than one person, it's not pretty but it's lovely and cool!!  ;)
My sis didn't come for dinner as she wasn't feeling well so lots of LOs. Some will be lunch and I'll freeze a tub of the taco mince.
Easy pasta tonight with fresh tomatoes, spinach, pesto and mozzarella.

Yesterday was unbearably hot. I had a workman here and we had the front door open and it let in so much heat! It definitely doesn't feel as bad today.

I am getting my stairs and landing carpeted today and he is due soon. I have had a banana but I am tempted to go out for breakfast somewhere as my husband will be here.

Another restless hot & stuffy night, hope others fared better.
    Cloudy and warm now

Asda delivery first thing, a couple of minor subs but nothing odd.

The apple & B crumble has turned out well, had to try some yesterday evening, just in case. All was well.

Lunch, freshly delivered, on offer, mini pork pie, followed by apple & B crumble
Dinner, freezer clearing, cod fillet, chips & peas

A bit more cloud around today so I don't think we will reach the 24C that was forecast. I did dress for it though then found it very chilly walking around tesco  :o

Very hot here today but was in an air conditioned office so all good, I even had to put my cardy on for a bit when someone had turned it down to arctic 😂. Felt the difference when I walked outside!

Took a pasta salad with me for lunch - mostly LOs from last night but added feta and olives. Picked up a bag of salad on way home so a simple tea of salmon fillet, new potatoes and salad.
