Very hot here today but was in an air conditioned office so all good, I even had to put my cardy on for a bit when someone had turned it down to arctic 😂. Felt the difference when I walked outside!
I decided on the spur of the moment to book a hotel tonight and the air con is making me feel chilly! :D Better than being outside in the heat.

I had a very delicious pie, mash and gravy for lunch today and then chip shop chips for dinner. Not a healthy day. :p

Having some garlic bread out the freezer (I’m hoping it was ok to freeze as it didn’t say anything on the packet) with tzatziki today. Garlic bread was free off Olio.

Looks like another hot one today.

Sunny and hot here, I'm seeking the cool parts of the house and wearing a tent   aka a very oversized dress that would fit more than one person, it's not pretty but it's lovely and cool!!  ;)

Me too 😁 I wouldn't wear mine anywhere else but at home but in the heat a large linen tent is wonderful 🙂 I bought another one although not linen before my op and both have paid for themselves since, especially as they are not long enough to trip me up. I've a couple of handmade kaftans which are too long for safety 😳 talking of tripping hazards his lordship has decided he needs to supervise my walks so I think I may have to sneak out whilst he's sleeping as he likes to weave around my legs or the stick 🙄

Although cooler last night I'm still waking up during the night, three times last night before getting up at 5am and I've remembered I hadn't post last night 🙂 I may have a nap later, I did benefit going back to bed at 8.30am yesterday for a couple of hours.  My hospital hip book tells me not to expect to sleep well for at least six weeks!

Greek salad for lunch yesterday with an added chopped nectarine.  Scrambled egg on sourdough toast for dinner, I rescued the eggs before my friend binned them for being a week out of date she wasn't convinced when I said they passed the float test!

    Cooler, which is good.
I think my sleeping may be synced with Bramblings, up three times and snoozing in between

My back has now settled to kind of “normal” OK if I take it steady & don't go silly

Lunch, grilled cheese on stale bread toast
Dinner, repeat of yesterday, clear out F & C from  freezer

    Good morning everyone,
I'm glad I'm not alone in liking to waft about in a tent dress when it's hot. Yes strictly for home wear only I'm not that brave!
Complete change in the weather today, we've thunder warnings, it's very overcast and much cooler, I'm back in my usual summer "uniform" of cropped trousers and a top. It might be cool enough to do some work in greenhouse later, I'll see how it goes. Yesterday I ditched all my annual plants, it's been a short season for them this year it's usually around another month before they are dying back. Tesco order for tomorrow to finalise and I need to catch up on some housework that was ignored while it was so warm.
LO pasta with salad for lunch. Tonight it's Cumberland sausages from Tebay farm shop with beans, mushrooms and HM oven chips.

We also have a thunderstorm warning but at the moment we have sea mist, it’s still nice and warm and the sun is managing to break through at times.

Went for the early bus and had a mooch around matalan, home bargains and bm stores, money burning a hole in my pocket but couldn’t find anything to spend it on  :D

Lunch - melon & salami salad

    Dinner - broccoli pesto pasta

Another warm night so I think sleep will be elusive again, last night I was up every two hours and gave up at 4.50am.  I did have a nap at 8am!

I was quite hot when I did my walk at 2pm and is due to be 28c tomorrow.  At least my ice packs Wilber useful overnight.

fish finger and salad wrap for lunch. A friend picked me up and I went to theirs for dinner, she isa very good cook 😋

    Good morning,
Much cooler, overcast and there's been a couple of very light showers. We didn't get the forecasted thunder storms but I suspect N2BT might have had some?
Another day of domestics and admin. I need to give the fridge a good tidy/clear out before Tesco come, we have far too many open jars and bottles. We do love our condiments! Hoping to host a family bbq on Sunday, I have a fair amount of meat in the freezer so will have a rifle through and get some looked out.
Fridge bits for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner.
