    Good morning everyone,
Cloudy, on the cool side but dry so far. New canes I'd ordered for the greenhouse have arrived so I hope to get some tomato taming done this afternoon.
DS2 enjoyed the Fringe but with Oasis also playing said everywhere to eat or drink was mobbed so they ended up with a Greggs eaten on the go. He returned clutching an M&S pizza which he bought on the way back. He's headed to do some shopping including popping by Lidl to see if they still have any of the Greek pies.
Ended up not making the Dutch baby pancake last night, I didn't think I'd manage to eat it all and wasn't sure how LO's would be. Instead I made a pot of veg laden soup and for dinner I topped a veg heavy/broth light portion with chopped AF sausages to make a sort of stew which I had with HM garlic bread. It's was blooming lovely. :) Lots of soup left for lunches and it made a good dent in the veg drawer. Tonight I'm trying this recipe Italian-Style Skillet Chicken with Tomatoes and Mushrooms | The Mediterranean Dish which we'll have with new potatoes and steamed veg.

  • After a really meh day yesterday when I had a nap because I couldn’t get started on anything have woken up and vacuumed, taken the bin out, and making dough for rolls in the breadmaker and just cooked a big aloo gobi which should do at least three meals.

It feels very warm here today. I am waiting for my Ocado order to arrive. I am going to have a picky bits plate when it does. Cheese, crackers, cucumber and carrot sticks, mayo and a few tortilla chips.

Lovely weather here today, I gave the bathroom and kitchen a good clean before it started to get too warm and can relax for the rest of the day.

I’ve had a brunch of bacon and poached egg on toast and it’s a repeat of yesterday for dinner with leftover chicken pie and veg.

I have new physio exercises started today and I'm a little achy tonight so have taken some paracetamol before bed.  Still getting up at 5am so gave up at 10.30am and went and lay down to read (legs needed to be raised) I did drop off for about 15mins before one of my sisters called.  I was woken from a post lunch nap in my chair by another sister, my local one who wanted help setting up her new laptop! So gave upon the sleep idea for today.

i had a ocardo delivery as well and gained a fresh pineapple and a large pot of Greek yoghurt, I saw the pineapple when he delivered and he said as I wasn't charged I could keep it, the yoghurt I spotted when unpacking and i wasn't charged either.

I cooked a couple of little part baked rolls for lunch and had with smoked salmon and cream cheese.  Fish fingers (posh ones) chips and sweetcorn for dinner

Nice sunny day, with bit of breeze. Ideal

My back is improving, nearly normal now, but I'm not going daft with it, no heavy lifting or stretching

Just amended my Asda order, added sugar because I'm picking some of my apples later, and they are not good keepers, so will stew & freeze, hence the sugar
I picked some blackberries yesterday in anticipation

Lunch, sandwich of some sort, TBD
Dinner, last of the ham and maybe salad bits

    Good morning everyone,
Grey and showery here but supposed to get better as the day goes on.
Didn't get as far as tackling the greenhouse yesterday so one for today.
Last night's chicken dish was really tasty, I halved the chicken quantity but left the rest the same so there's some sauce LO which I'll freeze if I can find space as DS2 returned yesterday with 4 assorted family sized Greek pies from Lidl!
Some more of the HM veg soup for lunch and tonight I'm trying out this recipe Goan Chicken Curry Recipe | Curry Recipes | Tesco Real Food .

Dinner - keema curry, rice & spiced onions

Too hot here! I have a class today and I hope it might have cooled down a lot by the evening.

I have had a yoghurt and fruit so far but I'm about to make a cheese salad with balsamic glaze and a wholemeal bread roll. I am going to have some grapes too.

Glad the back is improving Farway.

A hot day, so the curtains have been drawn for most of it.  I did my required quarter of a mile walk early morning before it got too warm, there are some advantages of waking at 5am!  I did lay down after lunch to elevate my legs and thou May sleep but ended up doing my living down exercises and then just listening to music for over a hour (and two male neighbours gossiping 🙄) I couldn't drop off.

A friend popped around for a cuppa and catch up this afternoon

Ocardo flash sales provided lunch and dinner.  A lentil and feta salad (I'm glad it was 40% off) with salad for lunch.  A chicken and leek pie with veg for dinner again 40% off I popped one in the freezer
