Sunny but cooler, good washing drying weatherMOT passed without trouble. The car came back cleaner than it went
I use a local family firm, and his daughter cleans & hoovers the cars during school hols, a good learning curve to the business there I expect.
They even reset the car clock to BST.I leave it & don't adjust it, just add or deduct an hour as required. My back is much improved, not 100% but getting thereWent up to Morries, nothing much YS worth looking at, so came back with bread flour which is much cheaper there than AsdaLunch, HM ploughmans.Dinner, another frozen RM. Noticed the one I had yesterday was BB end Aug this year, so must have been lurking in there a while.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
The afternoon tea at the Royal Albert Hall was very nice yesterday. It was very filling considering they are finger sandwiches. I did have a veggie burger and chips at a bar in the evening.
I haven't eaten yet as we might go out for lunch. I'm probably going to go out to see a film today. Maybe the new Naked Gun film.0 -
Sunny and breezy again today, load of washing dried on the line 🙃
Busy work day but finished on time and did some meal prep and watered the pots as was out for an appointment early evening.
Quiche, salad and coleslaw again for lunch. Portion of the chickpea and chorizo stew I had prepped when I got back this evening.1 -
I'm still on two breakfasts thanks to 5am starts which is throwing my meals and means I'm eating far too much bread! My sister returned my clean bedding this morning 😁 and did a bit of gardening as well, it looks like I have some bees nesting(?) do bees nest? In a container so she was working around it. She also brought around some chocolate chip shortbread 😋. A friend popped around this afternoon for a couple of hours.
lunch was a couple of slices of the shortbread. Dinner was a repeat of yesterday bean burger, flat bread and salad which meant I could empty a box in the freezerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -

Good afternoon everyone,
My new vacuum is set up but I didn't get as far as using it yesterday that's on today's to do. It does seem as though as though it will be easier to use than Henry.
Showery here today so far, I'd hoped to hang out a towel wash but don't think I'll risk it. I'd ordered so new garden canes which finally turned up yesterday. I was just on the point of reporting as not received so glad they arrived when they did. My current ones are many years old a becoming increasingly fragile and brittle so these should help tame the tomatoes.
Fridge bits for lunch. Lidl Greek pie, HM tomato and rice soup Dad’s tomato & rice soup | Jamie Oliver Cookbook Club recipes and salad for dinner. DS1 and DIL2B are joining us as they are dropping Frank off for a couple of nights as they are off to Edinburgh.1 -
Turned out sunny and warm after a cloudy start. I woke up early too so got the bedding washed and on the line before making a trip to tesco for a F&V top up.
Lunch = some nice wiltshire ham and a mixed salad.
Dinner = Aubergine parmigiana, green beans, hm garlic ciabatta roll

This evening is the best part of the day here, lovely sunshine.
A really productive work day (hardly any interruptions 😉) and then been for a good swim.
Jazzed up one of the average bean burgers I made and froze with some sriracha, lettuce and cheese in a bun with the end of the coleslaw for lunch. Quick and easy pesto pasta with tuna, green beans and peas tonight.1 -
Dull day here but according to the forecast it is due each 28c early next week, I'm not looking forward to that!Egg mayonnaise and salad sandwich for lunch it needed watercress or cress 🙂
Fish cake, chips and veg for dinner, not a great fish cake it was from Sainsbury's. I did throw the second one away as it would have stayed in the freezer for everLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Dull start, but dry. I'm going to have to water despite my back problem, very slow & steady I guess.I made a pot of celery soup yesterday, at long last, fed up looking at the LO celery in chiller tray. Tasted fine but left for today's meals after overnight maturing in the fridge.Lunch HM celery soup + HM AF croutonsDinner, same as lunch, maybe MW instant “steam” pud if still hungryEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1
