Good afternoon,
Thanks Brambling, back is much the same but no worse thankfully. Sounds as though you are managing very well in the circumstances.
Sunny today after rain overnight but tomorrow looks dire, we are just on the edge of the amber warning area but hopefully it won't be too bad when I need to head to physio.
DS1 and DIL2B will pitch up at some point tis afternoon to collect Frank but apart from that a pottering day is planned. Frank is being returned covered in burrs from running in the undergrowth up the woods. I've teased as many as I can out but he's needing a proper bath, detangle and brush none which he enjoys so his folks can tackle it!BLT for lunch as there's both bacon and lettuce needing used up. Steaks with salad, garlicky mushrooms and new potatoes for dinner.

I had a veggie burger with avocado and tomato salad for brunch as I woke up very hungry again.
I have a busy week next week so I am just having a TV and YouTube day today.2025 GOALS

We had some heavy rain overnight too and with the high winds forecast for tomorrow I decided to make a quick trip to lidl today just in case there is disruption to the public transport tomorrow.
Greek week must be very popular in the store I went to as some of the items I wanted were out of stock. I did get some EV olive oil, kalamata olives and beans in tomato sauce but no Ouzo or cheese pastries.
Lunch was square sausage, black pudding, tomatoes and a fried egg.
Tonight I’m having duck breast with a cherry and red wine sauce, new pots and green beans.

Dull with bit of a breeze, but no bad weather or ran forecast hereRestless night, just could not settle with my back so took to recliner chair and dozed. Must have slept though 'cos it was nearly eight when I woke.CFO has taken a back seat with my back, just eating what I can readily prepare or fancy, a bit like Brambling by the sounds of itLunch was pate on HM bread, the cob I had fancied was mouldy by the time I looked, so binned that.Dinner, plan is open a use by BB tin of Chilli Con C. Only needs heating through on the hob, I may have a slice of bread with it, or nuke a packet of riceEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

Hope the poorlies are doing ok.
N2BT - think my dinner invite got lost in the post 😂. I’ve not tried the cheese pastries, stocked up on the tins of giant butter beans, vine leaves, aubergines in tomato sauce plus some jars of artichoke hearts with capers and olives, lots of lunches sorted 😋
Woke up really late so quickly had some breakfast so I could go swimming late morning. Posh fishfinger sandwich for lunch. Grocery shopping and scrubbed the shower this afternoon but pretty lazy day otherwise. Salmon Niçoise salad for dinner.1 -

i was invited to lunch family friends today with my sister and her family, I think it was like taking a baby, I needed foot stool and toilet frame (to get off) and my sister grabbed my grabber just in case! Really nice roast lunch followed by trifle (no alcohol because of little one) then some cheesecake and raspberry sauce before we left at 7.30pm. Little one was in her element being centre of attention 😁

The wind and rain started early and just in case of power cuts I’m charging up my emergency lights, filling up the thermos flasks and getting the batteries handy.
I need to use up the last couple of eggs so will hard boil them and have in a salad for lunch.
If power on I’ll have onion bhajis, saag aloo, cabbage & carrot slaw.
If power off a corned beef sandwichJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Good morning everyone,
The cheese pies are fab, N2BT and JKS, we're having one this week.
Dry just now after rain overnight but the wind is really building. Thankfully DS2 will take me to and collect me from physio.
BLT again for lunch to use up the bacon which is going out of date. Thai green pork and veg curry with rice for dinner.2 -
Dull and breezy, rain due after lunch, but nothing like the Real Deal of FlorisMy back is a tad better, I can shuffle about as long as I don't make sudden lurches or grabs for something it's passableFood remains whatever I fancy & is convenient, but I did make, in BM, a fresh loaf, so sandwiches could be a highlight of todayLunch, corned beef & tom sarnieDinner, maybe frozen RM or another CB sarnieNothing requiring being upright for too long, or bending, liftingEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

It has started to rain here, but we are missing the storm. I got a Pizza Express takeaway last night. Pasta, salad and doughballs.
Ocado is due to be delivered soon. I still feel quite full so I will eat breakfast after my shower.2025 GOALS
