Went for a walk early on, slightly overcast and a chilly breeze causing quite a drop in temp compared to yesterday’s warm sunshine.

Did a tidy/reorganisation of freezer stock and updated my inventory, strange how there always seems to be stuff in there that’s not on my list  :D

Lunch today is the rest of the wiltshire ham with salad.

Tonight I’m trying out a new to me way of doing my fish, I’ll try anything once https://www.recipetineats.com/marinated-fish-tacos/

    Good morning everyone,
I like the sound of that taco recipe N2BT, we are having tacos next week but just the bog standard mince version.
Cloudy, windy and decidedly cooler her today.
New hoover is the business lol, though after Hector and Frank were up the woods yesterday evening the floors are needing doing again today!
Greek pie and a good chuck of the vat of soup were demolished. I had made around 4l which fed us last night, portions went home with Ds1 and DIL2B and there's enough for lunch for us both today. Not bad for basically an onion, 2 tins of tomatoes and some rice.  :) Dinner will be the usual Friday tbc.

The new bathroom radiator is being fitted today. We got up for 8 but now he is coming at 12. Grr.

I had a quick nap on the sofa and just woke up and had a toasted bagel with cheese and tomato.

    Made it to Friday 🙃

Warm and breezy here today, load of towels dried on the line.

Mezze for lunch - opened one of the tins of Lidl vine leaves and had some with olives, feta, pitta, houmous and cucumber sticks.

Prawn, pepper and pea egg fried rice tonight.

    Bright with sun trying hard

My back is easing at last, been just over a week now, but I can feel the difference at last. I'll take it steady, though, no heavy lifting etc.

Lunch, eggs on fried bread. I'm going to try & “fry” the bread in the AF, worked well for croutons so hoping a slice works the same.

Dinner, Ex Christmas honey glazed ham joint from freezer, past BBE and I can spot some freezer burn, but I'm cooking it regardless

    Good morning everyone,
Glad the back is improving Farway, physio has really helped mine but like you I'm being canny.
After some strong gusts and heavy rain overnight it's quite sunny now though not hugely warm and still blowy.
DS2 has headed to Edinburgh to meet up with some of his work mates who have never been to the Fringe before, he'll be back later this evening.  I'm pooch sitting both Frank and Hector though Frank will get collected at some point this afternoon. CFO today and yet decide on food, there's plenty in so will see what I fancy later might try this Dutch baby pancake recipe - BBC Food .

I like the sound of that pancake  Caronc B)

It’s definitely getting a lot cooler during the nights now, I think it's time to get back under the duvet rather than sleeping on top of it.

Last night’s tacos were alright. They had a nice flavour, not quite a waste of a nice piece of fish but I wouldn't do it that way again.

Lunch is a wrap with smoked salmon, avocado and leftover pickled cabbage.

I found a few portions of cooked chicken in the freezer so tonight it’s a chicken, leek & sweetcorn plate pie, new potatoes and peas.

I was sure I posted last night, maybe I was dreaming!

Not much done today, I turned down an offer of a roast dinner at my sister's as I was tired following a bad night sleep and would have had to sit for hours in a dining room chair with no foot rest.  As much as i love her granddaughter she is tiring as well. I did have a cuppa at hers as I used her neighbours shower,

Sardonic toast for lunch.  Ham, egg and chips for dinner

Back to sun & heat for this week, blue sky right now. Trouble is it also means restless night's sleep.

My back continues improving, down to just one P pill now and can get out of a chair without needing to use the electric lifting function, as long as I go easy all should be well soon.

Made an overnight loaf in the BM, since I changed yeasts the output has remained good & consistent

Lunch, LO honey glazed ham sarnie. The freezer burn had no ill effects, it seems.
Dinner, LO HG ham, eggs, mushrooms & frozen AF chips
