Thank you @Need2bthrifty - I so  agree with him. I kept back from posting on here when he was president the first time as I felt I needed to apologize for him all of the time.

    Windy but dry & mild.

Picked more blackberries yesterday, so I've taken some of last year's surplus stewed apples out to defrost & it's crumble time later today

Also made a loaf in BM

Lunch, fresh bread, sandwich of some sort, cheese & pickle?
Dinner. The veggie “salmon fillets” I bought to try were bleeurgh, odd texture & taste, no resemblance, except & shape, to salmon fillets.
So, plan B, frozen Harry R Fish & chips. It's freezer clearance as well, near use but date., so a good opportunity.

    Good morning everyone,
The weather held for the wedding yesterday, it's wet today so I think it might be a soggy after party this afternoon. The newly weds are hosting a garden/bbq party this afternoon, DS2 is coordinating the cooking.
Realised last night that the pack labelled "veal small" referred to the size of the pieces rather than the pack! Too wee to faff about breading for schnitzel so used them to make what turned out to be a really tasty stir fry. There's a portion LO for lunch. Dinner is tbc, possibly fajitas or similar.

They don't look nice to me either, :D but I know some online vegans who really like them.

I've had a cba kind of day, not fancying what needed to be used up or inspired to cook what I had planned.

Yesterday I cooked a couple of chicken legs whilst the oven was on but other than a chicken sandwich for lunch I wasn't inspired to do anything else with it.

I had half an aubergine that needed using but didn't fancy it so just fried slices and put them in the freezer for another time.

End result I grazed a bit on bread, cheese, fruit and nuts, now I'll have a couple of scotch pancakes & raspberry jam with my cuppa...yum  ;)

That’s the joy of CFO, N2BT! Nobody else to worry about so eat what you want when you want 😉

I’ve had a nice day which included being fed at lunchtime. Few domestics this morning - bed stripped, bedroom dusted and hoovered, kitchen and bathroom floors cleaned. Then swimming with a nephew before family birthday lunch. Bit of a lazy hour when I got home then did some food prep - cumin and chilli roasted carrots for lunch salads, and https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/tuna-peppery-tomatoes-potatoes for tea tonight. Finished the 🍷 too.

    Must finish remaking the bed!

Yes, it was the reviews, plus price offer, that swung me.
I can only assume most reviewers have never eaten real salmon, a bit like those raving over veggie bacon, and saying You can't tell the difference.

Lunch, I fancy some soup, so if I have tin lurking that is lunch
    Dinner, TBD

    Good morning everyone,
    Dull but dry this morning.
Enjoying a cuppa before I go and get myself presentable as I'm heading to a local coffee shop for a catch up a couple of friends. Hopefully we can get a table okay but there's few decent places near by if not.
JO bacon, pea and mint pasta for dinner.

I don't remember what salmon tasted like at all. I remember not liking the texture as it was slimy.

I just saw on FB that the Lionesses are flying back today to Southend airport near where I live. The match was really good last night.🙂

I had white toast with smooth peanut butter for breakfast.

Not so warm here today but this cooler temp suits me better.

Feeling much more inclined towards food prep and cooking, although I'm still enjoying salad stuff.

D - Chicken risotto with leek & sweetcorn
