Good morning everyone,
Hopefully you'll get your appetite back soon Brambling.
Mr Trump heading this way too N2BT, one of my friend's lives in Turnberry and the local restrictions are quite onerous!
You've reminded me itsthelittlethings that I must do something with my rampaging basil plant. Will need to de greenfly it first though, a oak in salted water with a drop of vinegar then a good rinse usually does the trick.
Fridge gravel for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner.1 -
Nice to hear from you Brambling, keep taking the tablets and you’ll soon be back to CFO (and everything else).
Another busy work day but getting things sorted. Nipped to M&S food at lunchtime, mainly for a bread roll for lunch but also picked up RTC fruit salad, celeriac remoulade and watercress.
Cheese and chutney plus a bit of watercress in the crusty wholemeal roll with some cherry tomatoes for lunch. Made the Jack Monroe kidney bean burgers tonight and had with salad, remoulade and a few cold new potatoes fried up. The burgers are ok (some gone in freezer) but I wouldn’t make again I’m afraid - I have better, nicer veggie meal options and would prefer a real burger 🙃

I know what you mean JKS, with those burgers I did add extra flavour; in addition to a generous amount of the cumin I added a sprinkling of garlic powder, onion granules and a good pinch of smoked paprika.
For lunch today I'm using up the last of the watermelon and feta in a salad with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
Tonight I'm sticking with the veggie theme with this old favourite from Delia's "One is fun" recipe book. Vegetarian Moussaka recipe | Delia SmithJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Good morning everyone,
When I've made those burgers I usually add curry powder, paprika and a good whack of garlic. I prefer them with made chickpeas.
My friend manage to film Trump's arrival as it passed her house, what a massive entourage including 4 NHS ambulances!! I hope no one in the south of South Ayrshire had a medical emergency last night as the system is stretched as it is!
DS2 is kilted up and off to his mate's wedding they've been pals since they started primary school. Fingers crossed it stays dry. He's away overnight so I'm CFO for most of the weekend.
I cooked some chicken wings for dinner last night and there's LOs for lunch which I'll have with some salad. Tonight I'm swithering between sausages or veal schnitzel.

Thanks for the tips on the burgers everyone 😊
Awake far too early for a Saturday but then couldn’t get going 😂
Went into town for a few errands and a coffee meet up. Late lunch of scrambled eggs and avocado on toast.
Weather changed and turned into a lovely afternoon so got a load dry on the line. Also did a smallish grocery shop.
Sausages, new potatoes, salad and celeriac remoulade tonight. And a 🍷. Happy weekend!1
