Good morning everyone,
Dry and trying to be sunny here.
I've admin to do but also aim to spend some time in the garden. My balance feels a good bit better now the stormy weather has passed.
Fridge bit for lunch and I'm trying this traybake tonight which we'll have with green veg. Mediterranean Baked Chicken Dinner - RecipeTin Eats0 -
It is bright and feels cooler today. I have got a plumber coming over later to give me a quote to replace a radiator. I left some bread out to defrost so I'm going to make a toastie. I'm going to finish my book before he gets here.0

The forecasted thunderstorms didn't happen yesterday and its still feeling very hot and sticky today.
I did a F&V run to aldi this morning and munched my way through a carton of cherries on the return bus journey so wasn't hungry for lunch, I'll just nibble at more fruit if needed this afternoon.

Work was non-stop from the minute I logged on this morning then my two meetings both overran (one advantage being that it meant I couldn’t go to a third 😂). Been really muggy and my head was pounding so forced myself out for a quick walk to buy a couple of food bits at lunchtime. Absolutely chucked it down for a bit late afternoon which does seem to have finally cleared the air.
Avocado and scrambled eggs on toasted bagel for lunch. Pesto pasta with tuna, peas and sweetcorn tonight.0 -

Good morning everyone,
Dry and trying to be sunny here today.
The chicken traybake was tasty and I'd make again with a few tweaks mainly using much less liquid. Reading reviews I'd par boiled the spuds and I'm glad I did as they were only just cooked by the time the chicken was done. There's a tasty broth and some spuds/veg LO some of which I'm going have as a soupy lunch.
Spicy veg pasta is defrosting for tonight which I intend to turn into a pasta bake as there's not quite enough to do us both though I might be CFO in which case there will be more than enough as is.1 -
The quote from the plumber we got was better than the other one so that is booked in for next month.
I really slept in as I was tired. I think it is from all the physical therapy etc... I am having. I am about to have a cucumber sandwich as I am craving it again as I had one yesterday and I'm going to have some squeezed orange juice. I am going to have a freezer pizza later and add some more toppings. I'm not sure if that will be lunch or dinner. I have some squishy tomatoes that I will roast in olive oil and I will make soup or orzo with them.2025 GOALS

Another full on work day with lots of random issues and queries 😂
Didn’t get out at lunchtime as took a shorter break because I had to nip out first thing. Did get out for half an hour’s walk at the end of the day though, sort of muggy and overcast, the sun tried a bit.
Filled pasta with tuna, sweetcorn and sun dried tomatoes for lunch. Prawn and green bean Thai curry with noodles tonight.0 -
Hi guys currently not cooking or eating for one 🤢 I'm hoping only a few more days of the strong meds then I'll feel more human, I stopped the liquid morphine but will persist with the others so I can do my exercises, I don't want to be told off 🙂
His lordship is still in full sulk mood about being barred from upstairs although he has quickly realised my sister is the one feeding him at the moment so she is forgiven at mealtimes for being here 🐈 although they did have a 'discussion' breakfast timeLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -

Mr Trump has been bringing all his gas guzzling transport up here for a couple of days, the amount of air traffic is ridiculous, got quite a shock when a C17 Globemaster flew overhead.....it is HUGE
No cfo here yesterday at all, after I'd been to the hairdresser I met a friend for "afternoon tea" so no need to cook last night.
Just a ham sandwich and fruit for lunch today and I'll use up the last courgette tonight based on this recipe Courgette Fritters | Nigella's Recipes | Nigella LawsonJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
