Hope you are all done and dusted by now Brambling and happily in "recovery mode"

I had hoped there might be a glimpse of some of the tall ships as they pass by on their way to Aberdeen but unfortunately we have the dreaded sea haar  :#   maybe better luck tomorrow.

  • Hope all’s gone well, Brambling.

I’ve had a day of eating early, had to leave around 12 for a work meeting so had early lunch of avocado and scrambled eggs on toasted bagel. Did a quick prawn, broccoli and pepper egg fried rice for early tea before going out for my hair appointment this evening. Bit peckish now…
  • TGIF! A long one this week.

Courgette lasagne tonight. I must wash up before work so I can cook after work.

Sunny & warm again, 10% chance of a shower & that's it, so out watering again first thing.

If the rain holds off I'm hoping to pick some of my blackberries this weekend, I've stewed apples in the freezer from last year, so a crumble is very likely

Just taken roasted chicken out oven, it's for today but wanted to get it cooked before heat gets going, just like the saying, if you can't stand heat etc.  :)

Lunch, sample some of the chicken, somehow.
    Dinner, cold roast chicken salad

    Good morning,
    Hope all went well Brambling.
    Sunshine and showers today.
I need to catch up on some housework, though tbh it will be the bare minimum to tick us over until Frank goes home next week!
Tesco due later, no OOS or subs but I forgot to order an item we need for a meal next week so DS2 will need to swing by a SM at some point.
LO curry and salad for lunch. Usual Friday tbc for dinner.

Lovely sunny day today but there is a warning of thunderstorms this afternoon and tomorrow.

A couple of tomatoes were in need of using so had a simple sandwich of them, s & p and a drizzle of salad cream.

Tonight I'll do turkey schnitzel, green beans & sweetcorn and fry up a couple of boiled potatoes I have leftover from last night.

I have a physical therapy session today. I've had some toast and a banana. It feels very warm inside my house and I'm not looking forward to the walk.
  • Tinned mackerel and a little gem lettuce salad for dinner. It’s my absolute favourite time of year for veg, I love salads and stuff. Broad beans are my absolute favourite, I must get some when I get paid. I know you can get salad year round but it’s nicer when it’s actually in season.

  • Nice catch up work day and turned into a sunny one 🌞

Last piece of quiche with baked beans and bread and butter for lunch. Chimichurri salmon salad bowl with new potatoes, avocado and tomato tonight.

    Glad it’s the weekend 🥂

Rain arrived at long last  :) , started around two and still drizzling now. No complaints, not had decent rain for weeks, and it's so parched everywhere.
Of course today I was going to pick some of my blackberries, crumble time. I'll do so when it stops, raining. In the meantime, the dust has been washed off.

    Lunch, Pate ploughman's.
Dinner, LO cold roast chicken + salad bits. And B & A crumble + custard if I get around to it.
