A bit more cloud here too and feeling a bit fresher. Went for a mooch around a few charity shops this morning but didn't find anything that took my interest.

Leftover noodles and stir-fry veg for lunch and tonight it's something unlabelled from the freezer - could be chicken curry or sausage casserole, either way I'll have it with a flatbread and some veg.

  • I cooked myself a sausage casserole and a crustless quiche to have over the next few days.

  • The other day I made an oat flatbread with sun-dried tomato pesto and feta.

Looks like you've batch cooking licky

Cooler today and quite pleasant now, hopefully it means I'll sleep better 🤞

I had a telephone appointment from the pharmacist at my GP surgery today which I was given a time of between 8am and 1.30pm nothing untoward but I'll need another blood test in three months. A pottering day again at home, I did organise the freezers as I want it to be easier when my sister is cooking to find stuff. My HM RMs will produce some surprises as the pen has faded / rubbed off from about a dozen containers 🙄 I know there are two turkeys broths although it's not exactly the weather for that. I'll be happy to clear that drawer whilst recovering.

Lunch was a repeat of yesterday, omelette and bacon wrap,

Skipping cooking dinners in the heat as thrown my menu planning which meant I found some pork belly slices in the fridge which needed using tonight, unfortunately I managed to cremate them in the ninja, they were very thin! They were dried out and uneditable so I just had the sticky rice, stir fry purple sprouting with sesame seeds and French beans with some added chilli sauce,

    Good morning everyone,
    Tasty looking food lickylonglips  :)
The rain cleared yesterday to give a pleasant evening but it looks as though it's on for the day today. Much cooler too.
LOs/fridge gravel for lunch, after Sunday's bbq and last night's fajitas I seem to have a fridge full of bits to use up so it will be a random plateful lol! My sis is coming for dinner tonight, I'm using up what was left of the bbq lamb to make a shepherd's pie. Not terribly seasonal but I'm sure we'll enjoy it. We'll have it with various veg , gravy and crusty bread.

Cooler here as well, even rained for about a minute, complete waste of time

I've muddled the days up as well, thinking it's Monday not Tuesday

Lunch, uninspiring cheese & pickle sarnie
Dinner, use up pork loin, with LO boiled new potatoes & bit of salad

I had a nurse appointment about my cholesterol test results and it has gone down to 5.7 from over 7. I've lost a stone since Feb and I think I need to lose another half stone to a stone to get it under 5 again. I really have been having less takeaways lately. :)

I had a yoghurt before I left and then a smoothie when I met my friend from this forum and then crackers with the last of the chickpea salad when I got home. I took some curry sauce out of the freezer to defrost so I'm making myself a curry tonight.
  • Fairly rainy from lunchtime and then has really chucked it down this evening. It did stay mostly dry for my drive to and from the office 🙃

Nipped out and got a supermarket pasta salad for lunch. Red pepper and feta quiche, salad, coleslaw and a few cold new potatoes for tea. It’s been a long day with lots of “peopling” so just about to chill with Sewing Bee 🐝
