    Good afternoon everyone,
Yes vinegar did help a bit, stopped it swelling horribly anyway. It's only slightly irritated today. Ouch re the cleavage sting Brambling!
Hazy sunshine today and getting warmer. I'm hoping we don't get the temperatures forecast for the weekend, I really don't enjoy much above 22/23C. Meal plan is done with an eye to cooking outside or minimally in the kitchen for when it heats up and ice lollies have been added to the Tesco order. :)
Hard boiled egg & salad wrap for lunch. Fridge gravel spicy veggie pasta with HM garlic bread for dinner.

Nice and warm here too, luckily there is the odd cloud that blocks out the sun giving a bit of relief.

Cooking is being kept to a minimum here too, lunch is honeydew melon and prosciutto again, the melon is perfectly ripe so I'll probably snack on it later too.

Defrosted some turkey mince for a burger tonight, no bun needed I'll just have it with salad and pickles.

At least the heat dried two loads of washing 🥵

I didn't need anything out so a pottering indoors day here finishing a book this afternoon.

Lunch the same as yesterday picky plate of tomatoes, cucumber, grated cheese, ham, rocket and crackers

Lazy late dinner of scampi, green beans and sweetcorn I didn't fancy chips tonight. I froze some Greek yogurt yesterday mixed with lemon curd so have just eaten that with some strawberries

Just the one load of washing here, crispy towels in baking heat 🙃

I went for a short walk at lunchtime as needed lettuce for tonight, too hot to be out much longer.

Scrambled eggs and avocado on toast for lunch. Yummy courgette and halloumi salad with chilli, caper and lemon dressing tonight.

Love the sound of your dinner JKS I may buy courgette tomorrow as I have the other ingredients.  I park at Sainsbury's when I volunteer

It was lovely, this is the recipe https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/grilled-courgette-halloumi-salad-with-caper-lemon-dressing. I served it on lettuce and had some buttered new potatoes alongside.

I might steal your frozen Greek yogurt and lemon curd idea 😋

    Good morning everyone,
Another one here fancying your dinner JKS.  :)
Quite warm already, I decided yesterday to do as much housework as I could manage and apart from routine stuff and laundry that should tide us over until the heatwave passes. Temperatures are forecast to get to 25C by late afternoon today and nearer 30C tomorrow. My kitchen/conservatory will be like an oven but thankfully my bedroom and the front of the house tend to stay at a fairly reasonable temperature.
LO veggie pasta for lunch. It was one of those "bitsa" affairs that end up working out really well but are virtually impossible to fully replicate lol! Usual Friday tbc for dinner.

I have had a yoghurt and water and I'm about to have some toast. I have to walk to my appointment and back today and I'm dreading it because of the heat. I might have to get the bus back some of the way.

Another one baking hot, completed my pant watering by seven this morning.

Also, roasted a small pork joint, no way was I going to have a roast dinner, with oven on etc, so cooking the pork this morning gives me cold meat later
Had to be cooked, BBE date due already frozen.

Changed Gas supplier, found BG has fixed offer cheaper than my present supplier, so move in progress

    Lunch, cold roast pork sarnie
Dinner, cold roast pork, with salad bits
