I tried to post earlier and it wouldn't let me. I had toast with Flora and marmalade before I went out to my appointment. It was quite hot on the walk there and back. I have just been snacking since I got home, crisps, peanuts and fruit. I'm not sure what to have for dinner. I made marinated mushrooms yesterday so I might do them again with something.0

Lovely day here, nicely warm and sunny, and not quite as breezy!
As previously advertised lunch was LO chorizo and sweetcorn orzo, just had it cold with some pea shoots. Salmon with some of the chimichurri that seems to be going on forever, new potatoes and salad tonight.0 -
I had issues when I posted last night, today it seems to know I'm human! The weather is getting warm again, i foresee sleepless nights in the future.
I got a text to say my medication was ready for collection so popped to the chemist and whilst out went for a quick trip around Tescos for a few bits. I'm all stocked up on F & V for a few day although the cherries didn't last long

Good morning everyone,
I had a lovely catch up and lunch yesterday. The place hasn't changed (in a good way) since I was last there which was probably around 2003. I had chicken liver pate followed by a chicken, mushroom and veg dish and I thoroughly enjoyed both courses. Sadly I couldn't manage a dessert as they looked lovely. Less good was getting stung by a wasp at the base of my back, it's such a long time since I was last stung I'd forgotten just how painful they are. Despite liberal applications of bite/sting cream it's still quite irritated this morning. Wasp came off worst though!
Overcast but dry so far after some torrential rain yesterday evening, the forecast is hedging it's bets.
Salad bits for lunch and tonight we're heading to my sister's for dinner.

No YS bargains to be had today, but I did get own label bread flour which is 30p a bag cheaper than Asda.Made a fresh loaf in BM, nicely risen this time, last one was tad brick likeLunch, BLT sarnie with new loafDinner, grilled gammon steak, plus salad. May boil some new spuds while I'm at it.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I've only been stung by a wasp once and it really hurt!
I had a smoothie before I left for my dental appointment and I just had a toasted pitta with butter and some peanuts when I got in.
The local veggie restaurant has a deal tonight for burgers and fries and beer, but I will see how I feel later on.2025 GOALS

Had a lovely long weekend away catching up with friends and having others in charge of the cooking for a change but my goodness they are so heavy on the meat, cream and carbs, I got home late yesterday and I'm craving fruit, veg and fish.
Did a quick F&V shop this morning so feeling much happier

Ouch Caronc I hope it's calmed down now. Last time I got stung was a fire drill at work about 12 years ago and it was unfortunately in my cleavage 🫣 I felt something crawling and tried to brush away without checking. I was told to use vinegar which just made me smell like a chippy!Quiet day in today just some tidying of my undies drawers.

Vinegar may smell but it usually works though.0

Hot again, another scorcher due, couldn't sleep so got up & watered my plantsThe main, boring, task today is checking for alternative, cheaper, gas supplier. I know in the past I found the difference was minimal and not worth my time then, but I think the gap may have widened since.Lunch, salad sarnieDinner, salmon fillet + saladEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
