Hope you are all surviving the heat, I'm staying out of the sun and enjoying the tennis.Farway said:Another one baking hot, completed my pant watering by seven this morning. You did make me laugh Farway I had to read it twice before I realised it was a typo and not a unique way of staying cool
I have some halloumi in the freezer so I've also copied JKS dinner recipe for another time.
For lunch I've had a pitta filled with salad and sliced up a leftover turkey burger
Not too much cooking tonight either with some mushroom & blue cheese pasta & ss peas.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Been boiling hot all day and it’s pretty warm in my (messy) flat. 2 burgers out the freezer with a few wedges and some frozen veg. It’s not really clever to put the oven on in this heat but I defrosted the burgers a couple of days ago and they need eating.0 bonus saver

Glad the recipe is appealing, I’ve got some of the dressing left so might repeat this week while it’s still so hot.Off this afternoon so went for a swim then also escaped the heat watching the tennis.
Cream cheese and smoked salmon bagel with cucumber sticks and cherry tomatoes for lunch. Salmon fillet with some of the LO chimichurri (made too much of that too 😂), new potatoes and salad tonight.0 -

I might steal your frozen Greek yogurt and lemon curd idea 😋
There's no air con at volunteering so it was an extremely hot office today. I parked in Sainsbury's car park so popped in on the way home for courgettes and milk. The car was really uncomfortable and even though I covered it with my jacket the steering wheel was almost too hot to touch.
I was missed so much that His Lordship decided he needed to cuddle when I got home 🥵 just what I needed after coming into a hot stuffy house, a furry hot water bottle!I had some cooked salmon in the freezer so lunch was salmon and watercress salad. I was going to have the second fillet for dinner but haven't been that hungry tonight. Dinner was 3 crackers with some cheese and a sliced tomato. Another scorcher on the way, so more salads, far too hot for much else, unless someone else is cooking it.Having said that, I made a banana loaf first thing, using up squishy bananasLunch, cold roast pork sarnieDinner, something & saladEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Hot and sunny here, once I finish my cuppa I need to do a few minor chores and then I plan to do a lot of not very much until later on.
I roasted a couple of chicken thighs last night and the spare one will be had for lunch with some salad.
More chicken tonight in the form of JO's Golden Chicken with avocado sauce. We'll have it with steamed veg and AF potatoes.0 -
I'm getting a pedicure at the moment. It is very hot and humid even on.the short walk here. I had a yoghurt before I left and I'm going to make a sandwich when I get home to use up the rest of the lettuce.0

Very humid here too although cooler than yesterday due to the sea mist, it did burn back mid morning but has rolled in again.
I did a chicken leg in the SC this morning, it was quite a meaty one so I'll have some in a salad tonight and there should be enough leftover for tomorrow's lunch.
Lunch today was blue cheese, crackers and grapes.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Was very hot early on today but hasn’t stayed quite as hot this evening I don’t think.
More courgette and halloumi salad tonight but with rustic croutons. Must go food shopping tomorrow.0 -
Hot hot hot 🥵 my sister and I went to the local garden centre to use a buy one get one free voucher on cream teas 😋 we ate inside but the air con just circulated the hot air around We did watch one of the kitchen staff obsessively try to get rid of the wasps from around the outside tables, he came in and added vinegar into a spray bottle and was madly spraying them for a good fifteen minutes 😁 my sister came back and we moved some furniture around to ensure I had clear paths for after my op.
Salmon salad for lunch. I wasn't that hungry after my cream tea so just had some crackers with cheese after 9pm
