Another load of washing dried in super quick time, has been a lovely day with enough of a breeze to keep it comfortable.

Had to nip out at lunchtime but had the end of the quiche, coleslaw, cold new potatoes and salad ready to go in the fridge so lunch was quick to put together. Had a young family member visiting this evening so burgers and salad were shopped for and assembled between us 😊

Ditto with Brambling, another sleepless night with the heat. Saw the dawn & was out watering by six.
Now yawning away as I type, probably fall asleep watching TV, again :(

Supposed to be hot & sunny and looks very much like they are correct

    Lunch, salad sarnie
Dinner, something plus salad, new spuds etc

An easy early dinner of a Aldi filled pasta (don't think I'll buy again) with a salsa verde try sauce over the top
Me too, I bought their spicy sausage tortellini and was not impressed, was determined to use it up and a good helping of chilli pesto on it got me through.

Lovely and warm here today, thankfully a gentle breeze coming off the sea so its still reasonably comfortable.

Lunch - A nice cool and refreshing tomato, mozzarella & basil salad.
Dinner - Poached salmon, horseradish mayo, new potatoes and cucumber salad.

I had some cherries and some bread with Flora. I had a class this morning and the lady made a vegan cake for me. It was nice. It is really muggy rather than hot outside.

That was the one I had and didn't find it spicy! In fact rather bland

Another bad night and my deaf ear meant I didn't hear my alarm as I was laying on the good ear! I have a appointment to check to see if it's wax but not until the 1st and as the GP no longer clear blockages it's not cheap if they have to, I'm hoping it will resolve itself before then.

Volunteering was too hot as the office isn't air conditioned but it was quiet and I was brought an ice cream. The roads were quiet for 5pm Friday so I'm assuming a lot of WFH or finish early. His lordship has been too cuddly he prefers when I'm home to give him lunch, being left biscuits is not the same! it's too hot for a furry hot water bottle.

i forgot I needed salad so popped to Sainsbury's for a meal deal lunch, beef sandwich looked more generous filled than it was which was a shame as it was nice beef.

Lunch was late so dinner was the last of the filled pasta with some salad

Houmous, pitta, olives, carrot and cucumber sticks for lunch.

Early tea as I was out this evening - did a green salad bowl with garlic and herb dressing, sautéed mushrooms and fried halloumi 😋

^ Sounds nice with the ice cream. I have ordered Ocado today and I ordered Cornettos, mango lollies and mango ice cream! I bought a huge box of cherries from Tesco and I still have lots in the fridge. It was enough for three huge bowls.

I'm going to have some cherries and then toast with mashed avocado as I have two left.

Not so good here today, the temp has plummeted to 16c as we have a sea haar shrouding us, the sun is bravely trying to get through so it may improve this afternoon.

Leftover salmon in a sandwich with cucumber for lunch.

Tonight it's something with chicken and weather dependant, if it warms up I may just do a Caesar salad, but if it remains cooler I may do a lasagne using up the small piece of mozzarella leftover from yesterday's salad.

I do envy the fruit you have in your garden Farway, that's the only thing I miss about my old garden where I had rhubarb, gooseberry & blueberry bushes.

Hot and humid here so have had a very lazy day. Nipped out for milk and lettuce as couldn’t face a full shop. Have watched a lot of tennis 🎾.

Halloumi, mushroom and pesto pitta pizza with the end of a tub of coleslaw and the end of a bag of rocket for lunch. Chorizo, prawn and artichoke salad with HM rustic croutons tonight.

It’s only rained a tiny bit despite forecast thunderstorms but hopefully it will at least cool down overnight/tomorrow…
