Yes, it warmed up here during the morning so had a pleasant walk from the office at lunchtime and treated myself to a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich from Tesco (I know how to live 😂). Had a good day catching up with a few people in person and some productive meetings plus did some actual work.

Had an appointment this evening so easy tea of LO harissa courgette orzo from the freezer with some pan fried prawns 😋

Dull, with drizzle in the air.
Up early again, and I was in Morries about 7, bread & milk mainly but on the YS prowl

Found YS MFO ping chicken dinner, and what appeared to be YS pricing gun mishap. Two salmon fillets with crumb butter, 55P  :o down from over a fiver.
That whizzed into my trolley & scanned out at 55p.  :)
Fortunately there was only one YS 55p on the shelf, or I'd have got greedy

Lunch, another ploughman style, with nice fresh Bloomer from Morries
Dinner, extra tasty 55P YS salmon fillets with butter. New spuds & some salad.

    Good morning,
We got home yesterday after a fabulous stay here DalesChapel . The weather wasn't as kind as it could be but apart from not managing to bbq it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves, It's a gorgeous area to visit, Celebrated my "bus pass" birthday while we we were away and was thoroughly spoiled. Back to old clothes and porridge now, We came back via Tebay Farm shop where I spent a small fortune in the farm shop so need to get that portioned and frozen today. I need to sort out tomorrow's Tesco order as we are very low on essentials. Lunch will be either a farm shop scotch egg or pork pie. Tonight it's stuffed pasta from the freezer with HM tomato sauce.

Belated birthday wishes Caronc, that looks like a great "party pad" for your getaway, shame about the weather.

Wet start here but brightened up as the day went on. I met up with a friend for lunch, we shared a pizza so I wasn't very hungry tonight, might have some crackers and cheese with my cuppa.

I woke up late this morning, luckily was a wfh day, but it left me out of sorts all day. Typically, it was a full on work day so had to get my head in gear quickly!

Posh fishfinger sandwich in a pitta with pickled gherkins for lunch 😋

Wasn’t in a swimming mood and finished a bit late to get a task finished so went for a walk exploring a new local path as it had brightened up. Just had sausage and spinach gnocchi for tea.

Belated Happy Birthday Caronc looks like you had a good trip away to celebrate. I assuming bus passes are 60 in Scotland and not retirement age as in England, mine will be 67.

Farway I'm assuming the salmon tastes tastier for being so cheap 😁

Gray morning but it brightened up again this afternoon and we are heading for a hot weekend 🥵

Egg salad roll for lunch using the last of my ciabatta rolls.

Prawn salad for dinner with new potatoes and coleslaw

Definitely playing silly Bs tonight. I think it had deleted the copy but seeing it timed out it could return

  • Baked pie tonight. With butter and pepper (someone who I had a dalliance with last year taught me this recipe and it’s very nice).
