Too hot again. I just had strawberries and cream for breakfast as I'm watching Wimbledon on TV.
I'm going to have something in a pitta with salad for lunch. I did marinate some Quorn pieces last night so probably that.0 -
Very warm here today although nothing like the temp those of you in the South are having. SM delivery arrived with just one sub which was acceptable.
I made coronation chicken salad for lunch which was nice for a change.
Not sure what to have tonight if it doesn't cool down as I'm not in the mood to cook, probably more salad stuff and may include smoked salmon or cottage cheese or bothJan - May Grocery spends = £432.47
Jun - Grocery spends = £99.140 -
Very hot here today although the flat stayed cool until late afternoon.
Smoked salmon and cottage cheese salad sounds nice N2BT - I think I’m about 90% lettuce at the moment 😂
Lunch was quiche, salad, col, slice of bread and butter. Tonight was pesto mozzarella, prosciutto and artichoke salad with some new potatoes. Cooking a pan of potatoes was plenty of cooking!
I’ve watched loads of the tennis since finishing work, I love the early stages of Wimbledon with all the shocks and marathon matches 🎾1 -
Too darn hot again 🥵 I needed to spend vouchers in the pet shop as they ran out today and were worth £3.50. The car was very hot, sitting in the sun outside the house it reached 35c. I didn't do anything thing else and was glad to be back home with the curtains drawn.
Spoke to my eldest sister tonight and she has just had to have her old dog PTS it's the first time in 63 years she hasn't had a dog, bless him he was deaf and almost blind but had been keeping her company since she lost my BIL. She's dog sitting her son's dog whilst he's away and he was suggest they look for a small older rescue dog, she's in her mid 80s and at the moment I don't think she's ready to make a decision.
Smoked salmon and cream cheese roll for lunch.
i AF some M&S salt and pepper chicken from the freezer for dinner and had with salad and coleslawLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Another one sweltering after a restless night. Forecast is wall-to-wall sun for the next few days.I expect I'll be joining JKS in the lettuce percentage, very glad I bought a pack of beautiful Cos in Morries last weekFor a change, it was a couple of grilled F Fingers for breakfastLunch, keeping fishy, tinned sardines in a sarnieDinner, still fishy, use up on BB date, boil in bag kipper fillets with HM mash & maybe frozen mixed vegEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Sorry to hear your sister has lost her companion Brambling.
Snap re the coronation chicken N2BT that what I had in my coffee shop sandwich yesterday N2BT.
I had a good catch up with my friend, we did end up sitting outside which was fine though a tad breezy and sea gully! We managed to grab a seat inside for our second round of tea/coffee after our lunch though.
DS2 has got his new car and I can get in it okay with needing a step or leg up.We'll see how my wheels fit later as we are off to my sister's for dinner tonight.
The forecast is dry until this evening so I'm hoping to get some garden bits done but apart from that and routine chores I've no plans. Fridge gravel for lunch.1 -
Big change in the weather here, we had some rain overnight and today its cloudy and a good bit cooler.
I got hooked on the Alcaraz vs Fognini yesterday, so glad I didn't need to do any cooking.
I'm eating more salad leaves than usual too, there's always a little gem handy. Cottage cheese and pomegranate salad for lunch.
Dinner tonight I'm trying these out for a change Sainsbury's Mint Glazed Lamb Rump Steaks 300g | Sainsbury's, jersey royals and ss peas too.Jan - May Grocery spends = £432.47
Jun - Grocery spends = £99.140 -
Sorry about your sister's dog.
I'm not sure what to do when my two last pets die.
I had a bad sleep and didn't get up for my class as I couldn't stand the thought of walking there and back in this heat. I paid for it in advance as well which is annoying. I'm about to make an iced strawberry smoothie and watch the tennis.2025 GOALS

it's seems to be not a good week for family pets as another sister came home to find her 19 year old cat had drifted off in her sleep, I've told his lordship ot to get any ideas!
I had to go into town for an appointment to try and sort my ear and it was too hot there at midday. I parked in Waitrose so grabbed a few bits which meant free parking.Ham, cheese and coleslaw roll for a late lunch with gherkins. I was too hot for fancy any dinner but did find a portion of oven chips in the freezer which I AF at 9pm followed by some strawberriesLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
