Chilly start but turned out nice again. Shame about the DW Brambling, although I never really used the one I had in my last house because it took me days to have enough in it to make it worth while putting it on.
Took a trip into the City, haven't been there for quite a while but I needed something from the Lakeland shop and had a very quick browse around the new M&S foodhall before dashing for a bus, I'll go back another day and spend a bit more time.
Lunch was a wrap with the leftover spiced onions and lamb kofta's from the freezer.
Tonight it's salmon, asparagus and jersey royals.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Yes, another day that turned into a good drying day - load of towels today.
I am currently living without a dishwasher as my rental doesn’t have one, daily washing up is still a novelty 😂
Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel for lunch. Popped out for an early evening glass of wine in the sun and came home and made sausage and spinach gnocchi 😋0 -
I only have space for a slimline dishwasher at least their prices are coming down, they have always been more costly than the normal size ones. No rush I'll weigh up my options, I would miss it 🤨
we avoided rain this afternoon although it did get very dark and breezy at one point. My sister and I and a crafting morning, our usual Christmas gift to each other in recent years as been a crafting lesson todays was glass fusion down in the coast. It was a lovely morning just the two of us as the teacher had converted her garage into a small studio. Pieces need to be kilned twice before we can have them.We got back into town about 2ish so grabbed a sandwich in the garden centre, my sister had to be home by 3pm. I wasn't hungry this evening until nearly 9pm so cooked a small par baked roll and had with cheese, ham and saladLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -
Dull, the promised rain for the garden never arrived, so just dull & gloomy.Brambling said:I only have space for a slimline dishwasher at least their prices are coming down, they have always been more costly than the normal size ones. No rush I'll weigh up my options, I would miss it 🤨When mine went wrong about a month or so back, the drain hose had somehow come out of the drain pipe, and a safety feature sensed it was lower than height requiredOnce corrected [put back in the drain pipe] all was wellHowever, I did look around and seems for what I wanted, bog-standard, no fancy stuff or Posh name, around £250 or less.Lunch, salad sarnie, againDinner, grilled gammon will feature, depends on weather if it's with salad or eggs & chipsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

We had rain overnight, not very much but it's first for a very long time. Confusing picture on forecast websites, bbc says thundery rain showers, met office has it dry so I'm none the wiser.
Using up some salad stuff for lunch with a hard boiled egg added.
Tonight I'm same as Farway with some gammon I'd stashed away in the freezer I'll add some pineapple, sweetcorn, ss peas and a handful of AF chips.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

It rained here for what seems like the first time in ages. I had crumpets with Flora for breakfast. I just had a cup of tea as it feels chilly with a handful of pistachios. I'm going to have jacket potatoes later.0

Damp start to the day, dried up but stayed grey and a bit uninspiring. Cleaned the kitchen and went food shopping this morning.
Spinach and ricotta tortellini with tuna, sweetcorn and sun dried tomatoes for lunch.
Walked into town late afternoon to run some errands.
Greek style pork shoulder steak, new potato and courgette traybake tonight.0 -
It was still raining this morning when I drove out to Petworth but stopped by the time I got to the house and stayed dry all day, just a bit grey. It see s an ideal day for visitors as we aren't competing with the beaches 🙂 nice steady stream of people.I took a ham and cottage cheese salad for lunch and managed to avoid the scones in the cafe. I had a tin of Greek giant butter beans in tomato sauce from Lidl for dinner with some crispy baconLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0

Breezy with sunshine, warm enough thoughTempted to pull a couple of sticks of rhubarb, young plants, but they are really robustly growing, so I'm thinking just a couple of stalks to sample themLunch, salad sarnie, againDinner, last of the gammon, check If I've a suitable spud for jacket, and saladCould be stewed rhubarb in there todayEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
