Seems to be a day of "incidents" for me - a very near miss whilst on the bus - some guy riding his mobility scooter on the road coming from the left at speed rode straight onto the roundabout right in front of the bus -
jeez!!
Then having my lunch of leftover pizza and some fresh fruit, I spilt a glass of water most of which landed on the laptop and table - laptop beeped a couple of times then died - left it to dry in the sunshine and thankfully after a few hours it appears to have come back to life.
Tonight's meal from freezer stock - pork and pepper casserole, with new potatoes, cabbage & ss peas

Gosh, N2BT, I hope you’re sitting somewhere nice and safe this evening, sounds like one of those days!Just the most lovely weather here today, warm and sunny but not too hot. Got out for a walk at lunchtime which was needed after a long online training workshop.

I hate seeing mobility scooters going down the middle of roads especially busy road. Sounds like an eventful day N2BT. I think you were lucky it was water on your laptop as sugary drinks can kill them!
I offered to take my elderly friend to Waitrose this morning, Just as well I only needed 4 or 5 bits as if she didn't need anything down an aisle we weren't going! Although I was pushing a shared trolley. Confusion at the self serve check out as the self scan flagged her for a check and four times I had to tell the assistant that one of the bags was mine and shouldn't be checked, she couldn't grasp two of us sharing the one trolley even if my friend was pushing a Walker 🙄
I tried a Tesco recipe for lunch French toast crumpets (idid forget the icing sugar) with stewed rhubarb and strawberries and Greek yogurt.

Lovely and sunny here and I was hoping for a much more normal kind of day today. Had to be at home anyway as I was getting smart meter fitted, of course I will no doubt become obsessed with how many kwh are being used.

Tonight I'm having onion bhajis, cabbage slaw, hm spiced onions (takeaway secret recipe) and cucumber raita.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Sun burnt through late morning and it turned into another pleasant day.
Not sure where the morning went (I had a clear diary) but suddenly it was lunchtime and I only had time to assemble and eat a wild rice, cumin roasted sweet potato, sweetcorn, Stilton and walnut salad.
Went out for a sunny walk after work then came back and made cod and butter bean stew with paprika and fennel seeds. Served with crusty bread 😋. Portion of butter bean stew for the freezer.
Just watching Kirstie and Phil, and looking forward to Race Across the World later.0
