Good morning everyone,
Hope you enjoyed the spiced onions N2BT, it's a cracking recipe for them in that book. They would have went well with the chicken dish I made last night.
Roofer is here replacing the flat roof on my bay window. It's been patched up umpteen times but time to get it redone.
There's LO chicken and yoghurt sauce which I'll use as the basis for a salad bowl for lunch. JO's sausage pasta for dinner.0 -
Definitely feeling cooler today and although there are more clouds around still feels pleasant in the sunshine.
The spiced onions were lovely Caronc and there's leftoversI think its the mango chutney that makes all the difference.
Met up with a friend for coffee and a huge cheese scone so nothing else required for lunch.
Tonight I'll do roast asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, jersey royals, maybe a poached egg depending on how hungry I feel.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

I just went for a quick walk around the park and it feels much cooler. I should have brought my cardigan with me. I had a sandwich before I went out and I'm about to have a bowl of strawberries. I might make a warm drink too.0

Grey and damp start to the day but it did brighten up this afternoon so got some bedding dried on the line 🙃
Had a portion of nutty sweet potato stew from the freezer for lunch, with a toasted pitta. Went swimming after work and then did a quick chicken, red pepper and pea egg fried rice when I got in.0 -
I'm enjoying the cooler weather as I'm sleeping a little better.
Disher washer seems to have died today, it started by not draining after making a strange noise, I baled it out the cleaned the filters and tried again, after some 'humming' it did work but again no draining and now it's not working and had to be unplugged to turn off. I will need to think what to do, it will depend if it's worth paying for a repair man 🤨 I've emptied the water out for the third time so have time to think, washing a full load of dishes was fun
Fish finger sandwich for lunch with tartar sauce. I CBA to make the planned traybake tonight so dinner was chicken thigh and chips with tinned sweetcornLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

Good morning everyone,
Oh I hope your dishwasher problem is easily resolved Brambling. I'd hate to be without mine.
Sunny but supposed to rain this evening.
Hector is going to be well walked today, he's already been to the beach with my sis and Ari and DS1 is taking him and Frank for a good run out this afternoon before we have Frank for a few days.
I've picked up a bit of a cold from DS2, I'm not feeling terrible just a bit meh so not planning on doing masses today.
Fridge gravel for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner.0 -
It looks much nicer today. I have got a session with my therapist and then a physical therapy session afterwards.
I got up and made a soup with some tomatoes that needed using up. It was with lentils, a pepper and half a pouch of leftover quinoa too. I froze it as it isn't particularly soup weather. I had crumpets with Flora and marmalade for breakfast.2025 GOALS
