I grew up about 12 miles away from Bournemouth and one of my sisters lived off of Bournemouth Square in the mid 70s. Those days it was pre university which I believe changed it a lot, it's been about 40 years since I visited.
i dithered over those sausages last time I was in Tesco but decided I had farm shop ones in my freezer and didn't need any.
i remembered the smoked hummus in the fridge today and had it for lunch with peppers and carrots.
Aubergine stuffed with lamb mince, pine nuts and feta for dinner (plus a few other bits thrown in 😁) based on a Yotam Ottolenghi recipe i used mince from the butcher but a bit too fatty for me even drained, I'll go back to the FS lamb mince next time as it's leaner. I do find air frying the aubergine is better and quicker than the oven.

Was actually cold at times today, typically the sun made an appearance late afternoon when we were back from our outing to a local garden. Had a lovely lunch in the cafe there and resisted temptation in the gift shop 😉
Harissa chicken fajitas tonight with quick pickled red onion, yoghurt and salad 😋0 -

Good morning everyone,
Hanging about waiting for the chap who's servicing my boiler to appear.
Dry but overcast here and a good bit cooler.
Ended up going with the sausage option yesterday. N2BT I'd recommend them. I made spicy, mustardy onions to go with them as well as a chopped salad and some wedges. There's some of the onions and wedges LO so I'm going to turn these into a Spanish type omelette for lunch. Air fried pork shoulder steaks tonight with baby potatoes and various veg.0 -
I think I went there in 2005 and 2000. I know I went to visit her at uni and that was 30 years ago, OMG, as I was 19.Brambling said:I grew up about 12 miles away from Bournemouth and one of my sisters lived off of Bournemouth Square in the mid 70s. Because the weather is due to change soon I decided to get my bedding washed and on the line today then started on the 1st instalment of a job I've been putting off for ages.
Thanks for the recommendation Caronc, I'll give those sausages a go next time I venture to Tesco.
Had a simple chicken and lettuce sandwich for lunch.
Roasted some peppers that were beginning to look a bit sad, I'll use some of them on a pizza tonight with some salami and olives.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Work day seemed to fly past today 🙃
Bit cold and grey first thing but the sun had come out by lunchtime so had a 20 minute walk before lunch of couscous with cumin roasted sweet potato, feta and quick pickled onions (which are lush) 😋
Swimming at the end of my work day and then back to make Waldorf salad, which I had with salmon fillet, salad and jersey royals for tea. Pots all watered and kitchen cleared up. Watched another episode of The Hour which is shortly leaving Netflix, I have missed it until now and didn’t watch when it was on terrestrial tv for some reason, great cast and some lovely 50s styling.0 -
I spent almost six hours today going through my friend's many carrier bags full of paperwork, she did say I was ruthless but agreed it was needed 🙂 I left her with one bag we need to file and one bag containing the last of the shredding as the shredder and me needed a break. I've told her I'll be back next Monday to go through her files! She did say if I do it now I won't have to do it when she dies!
She fed me a sandwich for lunch as well as lots of tea during the day.
i didn't fancy LO stuffed aubergine for dinner so just had a mushroom omelette with some salad.
