Tipping down after a clear night. Hope you kept dry on SM trip Brambling

Asda delivery arrive a bit early, as usual, I was around so no problems.
Two subs & an out of stock. Subs were posh vine tomatoes BUT fatty mince in place of low fat :/ , I'll give it a go.
OOS was bacon, shame, I was looking forward to BLT etc. Oh well, at least the half salmon fillet offer survived & arrived.

My dishwasher, not terminal, the drain hose has popped out and needs putting back in the drain pipe, which I am unable to do due to lack of bendiness. Job for a grandchild once I can entice them & DS here. >:)
Meanwhile, add washing up liquid to next shop

    Lunch, HM fatty mince burger
Dinner, HM fatty mince burger [no bun], with LO cauliflower cheese

    Good morning everyone,
I love those types of veg/spud salads.
Grey, damp and chilly here today.
So far I have achieved very little today so I need to get act together as Tesco are due, DS1 is coming for dinner again tonight and I need to get organised for my upcoming "girls weekend".
Fridge gravel for lunch and Korean style pork and red pepper stew for dinner.

I have had a bowl of grapes and I'm cooking two small jacket potatoes to have with half a tin of baked beans with a salad with balsamic glaze.

My LDL cholesterol is 3.22 and it should be under 3 so I am eating healthy. I lost 3 lbs last week. :) it is my own fault as Leigh-on-sea has so many vegan friendly restaurants and cafes. Doesn't mean I have to eat at them all the time!

Temperature has dropped here again even with the rain, heating went back in for a while

turkey soup for lunch.  Chicken wings, wedges, coleslaw and sweetcorn for dinner

I made a yummy and healthy dinner last night. I made cauliflower wings with hot sauce, I marinated some tofu chunks in a peri peri rub and had it with basmati rice. I'm definitely going to make that again.

It looks bright, but not sunny outside. I'm going to make a smoothie as I took some strawberries out last night to defrost.

    Good afternoon everyone,
Nice and sunny here after a frosty start.
Home alone with Hector as DS2 headed off first thing for a site visit in Hartlepool, he'll be back tonight.
I'm getting myself organised for a few days away with friends, we're not actually going very far but as it's in the middle of nowhere we could be anywhere. Swan Bothy | Lochside Holiday Cottage Ayrshire The lentil lasagne I assembled a a couple of weeks ago is in the fridge to defrost for our dinner tomorrow.
LOs for lunch and tonight it's Spaghetti all’amatriciana recipe - BBC Food using the remaining guanciale DS1 and DIL2B brought back from Rome.

Afternoon folks, sunny but cold. Late start because I went into town to buy some waste pipe for dishwasher fixing this weekend, if GS arrives.

Looks a good spot Caron, nice countryside around there from what I can remember of just driving through.
The salad turned out well, looks wise it reminded me of the one that Heinz used to do did in a tin :D
I loved that, a real treat at the time <3
Quick check revealed a thread to bring it back

Lunch, Fatty mince burger. The fatty mince turned out OK, once used in a burger the fat ran out, so not too greasy in the end.
Dinner, salad + fatty mince burger

Turned out lovely here too after another frosty start.

Jumped on a bus to go catch up with pals from college days, had a wander around Arbroath then lunch of a ham & cheese toastie before getting bus back home.

Defrosted half of a sirloin steak for tonight and I'll use up the last of the potato salad along with some lettuce & tomatoes.

    House looks lovely Caronc

I forgot to get bananas so went to Aldi for the second time since it opened in October, they have changed their parking, you need to validate which means you can get a space in their carpark now, before it was free two hours so people parked and went shopping in town.  I did buy more than bananas 😣 i thought I would give their sea bass a try amongst other stuff, my sister is coming for dinner in Saturday and staying over so I needed breakfast as well. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

I won a £10 voucher in a raffle for a local butcher last week so decided to spend it, they are a great butcher but down a side street with horrendous on street parking so I haven't used for years, they have taken over the shops either side and have a nice deli section which I avoided today but will go back to. My shop came to £11.39 and the guy just took the voucher and waive the rest 🙂

Turkey soup for a late lunch 😋 YS pizza for dinner, just a basic one with added toppings
