Snap on the salmon 😁 obviously it's following the cauliflower and corned beef trend on here!
grey and wet again so a pottering day for me, I sorted some crafting bits for my sister for one of the children she sees as a play therapist so got side tracked myself. The fridge was tidied and cleaned due to a spillage, but looks so much better now I can see things at the back.

Good morning everyone,
What a welcome change in the weather, it's bright and sunny this morning.
A day of voluntary admin before an online board meeting this evening.
Soup from the freezer for lunch. DS2 is cooking this evening - Punjabi chicken curry.0 -
Lovely sunny day here too, there is still a bit of a breeze but it was nice and warm walking in the sun.
Caught up on a few domestic chores, freezer tidy and some menu planning. Had some puff pastry in the freezer so decided to use the butchers pork & leek sausages to make some small sausage rolls rather than just grilling them.
Egg salad sandwich for lunch and tonight I'll have a sausage roll, mashed swede & potatoes.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

I had leftover chickpea salad on a toasted bagel with a banana for breakfast. It has been very dull here today, but the sun is coming out. Tomorrow is meant to be nice and sunny.0

I laid in bed about 3am listening to the wind blowing last night, I shut the bedroom window which did quiet it a little. But as you say it is warmer Farway the heating hasn't been needed since Friday 🙂
Intermittent weather between rain and grey 🌧️ nothing needed outside so just some finance admin done this morning.
I took a FS turkey drumstick out of the freezer yesterday and made stock today in the pressure cooker, it's in the fridge waiting to be skimmed of the fat tomorrow so I can make soup / broth.Crackers with blue cheese, pear and walnut for lunch.
i made a lamb and aubergine curry for dinner, using some FS lamb mince also from the freezer, lots of 'needed to be used' veg thrown in and the last of some fresh tomatoes. Decided against rice and made some JO flat breads with flour and yoghurt. A typical throw together curry, very tasty so I probably won't be able to duplicate it 😁Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Wet start as normal, but brightening, as normal lately it seems.A bit of minor cursing last night, my dishwasher is not drying and has a blinking red light! Not the end of anyone's world, but still a PIA. I'm hoping it's simple fault, like blocked filter.Luckily, it's only a cheapo one, and I can readily buy a new equivalent if needed.Unfortunately, with my lack of bendiness and wobbles I can't just take the back off & have a poke around myself, so I'll have to ponder a wee while looking at options.Lunch, easy cheese & pickle sandwichDinner, leftovers all round, LO HM coleslaw, LO HM potato salad + LO corned beef + salad bitsMinimum washing up there!Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Sunny intervals here, encouraging the spring flowers to show up
A portion of soup and crackers for lunch.
I'm copying Farway's idea of potato salad and opted for a Czech version - I worked with a women from Czechoslovakia many years ago and she made the most fantastic potato salad for our team lunches I just hope I manage to replicate it.

Good morning everyone,
Hope you can get the DW fixed Farway.
Back to wet and miserable here today. I'm hoping to get the current voluntary admin "to do" well reduced today or at least clear the needs doing this week stuff. DS1 and my sis are joining us for dinner but I've already made the cottage pie and there's gravy in the freezer so just some side veg to prep later. Lunch is tbc probably either egg mayo & salad or HM soup from the freezer.0 -

I needed to go to SM today my soup needed carrots and potatoes and I created a small list. Before cooking my soup I had to de-jam my cutlery drawer, the bread knife had gone through the plastic of the cutlet tray (brittle from age I think) it took awhile to work out what was wrong as even with the torch the 1.5inch gap made it difficult to pinpoint the issue and resolve 🙄 still not sure how it jammed 🤷♀️
Turkey broth for lunch. LO lamb and aubergine curry for dinner with the last portion going in the freezer
