Chaucer does appear a bit hard going Brambling  :|

Leftovers again today, using up the last of the tapenade and pate with a crusty bread roll sliced toms & cucumber

Pork chop and mixed peppers in a BBQ sauce tonight with some boiled rice on the side.

Boredom got the better of me yesterday and I ended up baking a lemon drizzle loaf, it tastes lovely but I've portioned and froze most of it else I'd be to & froing for slice after slice  :)

I hated doing Chaucer and Seamus Heaney at 6th form. The bog poems! We did do The Handmaid's Tale which is now very well known for the TV show.

I remembered studying a book for O or A levels tended to ruin the enjoyment, by the time you dissected it word by word!

It's been a nice if cold day, great for the kids half term.  Not much done other than a hour trip into town, hip has been grumbling since, probably carrying bags to the charity shop  :#

Egg and cress sandwich for lunch.  Quick dinner of cheese on toast as I didn't want to stand too long

Sunny & frosty start, but a nice change to see sunshine again.

I made a pizza yesterday instead of using a frozen one, breakfast was cold LO pizza.
Lunch, another cheese and pickle sandwich
    Dinner, LO HM pizza

My cholesterol has come back as very high, over 7. I have eaten a lot of takeaways and ate out in restaurants a lot  this winter. This usually happens and it comes back high then when they retest in 3 months when it is Spring/Summer it is normal again.

I may as well start eating healthier now! Today I have had a cup of tea with a bowl of fruit salad before my class and two tortilla wraps with marinated air fried tofu and salad for lunch. I might have baked beans and jacket potatoes for dinner.

Cold, grey and wet here, there has been snow inland according to local radio.

Last of the turkey broth from the freezer, I need to think about making some more soup as I'm down to one portion of lentil left.

Its been a while since I bought meat from the local butcher and there's a noticeable difference in their prices. Also no pork and apple sausages had to take some pork and leek instead I've put them in the freezer for another time.

Some leftovers of the pork & peppers I made yesterday which I will use up tonight with some noodles for a change.

I think the good weather here is due to break here on Thursday and back to rain for the week 🌧️at least the kids would have had a few dry days

A little but of gardening done this morning before some in doors tidying.  Letter from tax man this afternoon which i need to check online but have put off until tomorrow

Cheese and HM coleslaw sandwich for lunch.  I made a batch of spaghetti bolognese saucethis afternoon and had a bowl with pasta for dinner. A couple of portions in the fridge I'll probably freeze some tomorrow if I don't fancy it Wednesday and Thursday.

I have had ginger and lemon tea and a bowl of fruit salad. I am going to make tomato lentil soup and have it with a toasted baguette. I have a therapy session later. I think I am going to stay in my pyjamas until then.

    Good morning everyone,
Tipping it down here but not quite as cold, though far from warm. It's one of those grey days where you need a lamp on all day and feels colder than it actually is.
Two out three of my large kitchen storage cupboards are now decluttered and organised, just the "cleaning/random house bits" one to go. I'm hoping to make a start on it today. After that it just a reorganise and tidy of a corner unit and general tidy up and I'll know that everything in my kitchen has a place and it's something we use and want to keep. :)
Really enjoyed the curry last night but it made loads so rather than use up LOs for lunches I've frozen them for another main meal. Lunch will either be soup from the freezer or a cheese salad wrap. I've defrosted chicken legs for dinner which we'll have with various veg and spuds though I haven't decided exactly what to do with them. I'll see if DS2 has any preferences and take it from there.
