Good morning everyone,
Wet and wild here, I'd definitely rather have the colder, dry weather. It's definitely not a day for straying unless you have to though the weather warning for wind and rain lifts this evening.
I've a stack voluntary admin to do before the end of next week so might make a start on that and Tesco are due later. Turkey and rice soup from the freezer for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner.

Wet and windy first thing but dried up nicely. I hopped on the early bus to the nearest Tesco for a few things I wanted for the weekend, The return journey felt a bit scary as the wind had increased and the double decker was getting battered by the gusts, glad I didn't have far to go.
I had half a tin of corned beef stashed away in the freezer, defrosted it overnight and had some of it for lunch with pickled beetroot in a nice brown roll.

Grey day which turned to rain by lunchtime and stayed that way. I was volunteering but tend not to leave the office so not a issue, just a dash to the car at 5pm

A total flip with the weather here, clear skies, sunshine and a fresh breeze so I've taken the opportunity to strip the bed and get the washing out on the line.
Got a pot of soup going on the stove to use up some veg and replenish freezer supplies.
Ham salad roll for lunch maybe a small bowl of soup too, just to test it out
After all the talk recently about cauliflowers I picked up a nice one in Mr T's yesterday thought it would go nicely tonight in a cheese sauce alongside the remaining corned beef and some AF chips.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Good morning everyone,
Oh I wish now I had some corned beef! Yesterday I made a pan of "Heinz" style tomato soup Slimming World Tomato Soup that tastes just like Heinz (but Syn Free!) - Strikeapose as I had a notion for a bowl of tomato soup with a cheese toastie for dinner. Very nice it was too. There's a good bit left so I'll have some more for lunch and a corned beef sandwich would have went well with it. I'll just need to stick to my planned crackers and cheese.
Dry here today after some really manky weather yesterday. DS2 has headed to help his Dad build a shed so I've got Hector and this afternoon DS1 & DIL2B are dropping Frank off for a few hours so they can meet up with mates to watch the rugby.
Chicken wings with salad, wedges and coleslaw for dinner. While I'm chopping the veg for salad and coleslaw I'll prep the veg base for the cottage pie (for Tuesday) I'm planning to make tomorrow. With two pooches here there's no chance I'll be able to concentrate on the voluntary admin pile so may as well try and get organised food wise for the next few days.0 -

I thought I was coming down with something when I woke up, sniffing and a headache but other than the remains of the headache the sniffles disappeared by lunchtime. I did fall asleep for a while late afternoon until his lordship demanded dinner and it was dark.Last of the corned beef in a sandwich with mustard for lunch. I also defrosted salmon overnight and I have it in the marinade for later.
Little gem lettuce needs to be used, so I'm on the salad too with some cheese, ham, tomato and beetroot for lunch.

Good afternoon everyone,
It's an absolutely manky day here.
Yesterday DIL2B and her friend took Hector and Frank for a very long walk along the coast. Both dogs were completely broken and ravenous when they came back but had clearly loved it. After being fed both of them crashed for the rest of the evening until Frank went home just after 10pm. Hector is still tired this morning.
LO wings and coleslaw for lunch. Tonight it's pigs and blankets roast dinner using a tub of PIBs I made up at Christmas.0
