It is a gorgeous sunny day here too. Tomorrow and the next day is meant to be raining when I'm going out!
I have leftover spaghetti with lentil ragu and I think I will have that for breakfast as I feel hungry. I have a leftover burger to have as well for lunch and I need to see what is in the fruit bowl to use up in a smoothie.

Good afternoon everyone,
Cold and clear here today.
The morning has disappeared on me between hair washing and sorting out tomorrow's Tesco order.
I noticed yesterday that a load of rubbish has blown into the front garden. I must get that lifted today.
Hoping to get a bit more kitchen decluttering done over coming days, I've bought some storage boxes which will hopefully help accessibility.
Fridge bits or soup from the freezer for lunch. Yoghurt chicken curry with rice and naan tonight.0 -
Very heavy frost this morning so it was a chilly walk to the hairdresser. By the time I came out the frost had "louped" and we have lovely clear sunny skies.
Caught up a few domestic chores when I got back and as I had boiled 2 eggs yesterday I'll have another egg and tomato sandwich for lunch.
Last piece of the broccoli quiche from the freezer for tea tonight, think I might do some oven chips and baked beans with it instead of the salad I had planned.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

Heavy frost here this morning too but that meant lovely blue skies until it suddenly rained at 4.30pm, at least it gave us a large rainbow behind the pet shop against a very dark sky.Volunteering webinar between 9 and 3 today, it should have been before Christmas but was postponed. His lordship did join the call before going to sleep with his head on my laptop.I popped down to town when it finished and was lucky to be given someones carpark ticket with a hour left on it, I needed to pop into one shop and then had a quick whizz around M&S food hall. Home via the pet shop to stock up his lordships food, £3 voucher when I spent £30 which was unfortunately easy to do!
just as well I love the PITA
Decided to use the last not so great burgers for lunch with AF onions in a small wrap.
i picked up a half price YS RM in M&S for dinner, their Chinese chicken and cashew nut so a easy pinged dish with half a sachet of rice. Followed by a small lemon tart also half price YS, second one for tomorrow 🙂
I pressure cooked a couple of lamb shoulder shanks from the freezer which will make for a easy dinner after volunteering tomorrow, I'll skim the fat off tomorrowLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
And it's back to dull & damp this morning, and supposed to be same over the weekendOnly thing I need to do though is complete my Asda online order, so nothing to go outside for, except may get wheelie bin back in its spot after bin men.Brambling said:I pressure cooked a couple of lamb shoulder shanks

Good morning everyone,
Cold and frosty here today.
CFO for a few days as DS2 is away on a stag weekend. Meals are tbc but will involve braised steak and cauliflower cheese. I plan to cook the steak in my mini slow cooker today to have either tomorrow or Sunday. Tonight is tbc, there's a small quiche arriving in my Tesco deliver so I might have half of it with veg and spuds. I'll see what I fancy later.0 -

Volunteering in town today and home via Sainsbury's where I park as I forgot potatoes. It was raining first thing and stayed gray and chilly all day, after a too warm office it felt really cold.Gammon roll for lunch using some LO Christmas gammon from the freezer. Lamb shank for dinner, I skimmed the fat from the 'gravy' and blitzed it, I had it with mash potatoes, runner and french beans and tenderstem broccoli 😋 LOs for the weekendLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -

Good afternoon everyone,
Another frosty one here, but no lovely sunshine it's very grey and cold.
I had a reasonably productive day yesterday, had a thorough hoover, mopped through and cleaned the bathroom. I made a small pan of celery and broccoli soup to use up a heading past it's best 1/2 head of broccoli. I also braised a couple of beef collops in the the mini SC on a bed of onion and carrot before pulling the beef and mixing in some cooked mushrooms. It smelled so good the the quiche was kicked into touch and I had some for dinner last night on a slice of toasted sourdough, served with buttered spinach and topped with an egg. Lunch today will be a mug of soup with cottage cheese on toast. More of the beef tonight, either a rinse and repeat of yesterday or with root veg mash from the freezer and green veg. I'll see which combo appeals most later.0 -
I spent most of the day in the City yesterday and was a bit tired when I got home. I had remembered to defrost all the bits I needed for a moussaka but after I'd eaten I dozed off in front of the tv and forgot to post.
Lunch today is some pate, crackers, tomatoes, cucumber and any other picky bits I find.
I've prepped the filling for a salmon and asparagus quiche, just need to make some pastry and bake up the flan case in readiness for tonight, not sure yet what to have with it I'll decide later.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
