It is a beautiful day today, sunny and frosty. Did anyone see the moon and Venus last night?

I have had a cup of tea and a toasted bagel with Pip and Nut PB.

Same with the bright & sunny, never saw the moon but TBH I never really looked, maybe tonight?

I fancied some cake yesterday, so this morning I've made a teacake, now out of the oven & everywhere smells of yummy cake. Roll on lunchtime.

Lunch, ham sandwich, using some of yesterday's ham
Dinner, if sun keeps up, more ham, and maybe boiled new spuds + salad bits. Proper 1950s Sunday Tea.

I noticed the moon as it was very clear last night. I saw pics on FB today as some people local to me got some really good shots. It might be tonight as well.

    Good morning everyone,
Glad you had a good break N2BT.
    Overcast and slightly misty here.
A day of pottering planned, I'm on a mission to bit by bit declutter my kitchen one shelf at a time! It will be a long project but I have far too much stuff! I'm also going to make a pot of turkey, veg and rice soup using stock and a bag of cooked turkey & gravy from the freezer.
Roast lamb for dinner tonight. Lunch is tbc but will probably involve eggs as I accidently ordered two dozen instead of one this week.

Had a nice catch up with my cousin and nothing like a bit of retail therapy to brighten up a long dull January  :)

Got all the laundry done yesterday, just need to get ironing done maybe in front of the telly this afternoon.

Leftover hoisin chicken & noodles for lunch.
Aubergine parmigiana, green beans, hm garlic baguette tonight.

Back to dull & grey after yesterday's wonderful weather, no sign of moon or Venus with the clouds
Heard foxes yelping last night, and some spawn in ponds, so brighter times are close by after what seems to have been a very gloomy winter here, and I know many have had far worse.

Had a slice of my HM tea loaf for breakfast
Lunch, I'm defrosting some YS sausage rolls, which I'll heat up plus dipping brown sauce
Dinner, more of the use SC ham, and I'll make a potato salad with the LO new spuds from yesterday

Jumped a bus to go for a small shop in @ldi and a mooch around other stores.

Had a nice ham salad when I got home, I went looking for watercress after it was mentioned the other day but had to make do with pea shoots which are a nice change.

Tonight I'll do some turkey meatballs in BBQ sauce with brown rice & sweetcorn.

Unfortunately the same here although there was frost first thing

quiet day of chores and a couple of loads of washing done, door lock was reluctant to open on the second one so I had to spin to get it too reset,  time to replace my old machine I fear this one is getting very old so doesn't owe me anything just not worth a repair man will look next time I'm in town

Tuna mayo sandwich for lunch.  Sticky Asian pork belly steaks with sticky rice and veg for dinner

Quite a nice mild morning here but temp due to drop as the day goes on and back to chilly nights again.

Went for a walk around town stopping at the bank and the fishmonger.

Ham salad again for lunch today.
Pan fried salmon, buttery leeks and green beans tonight.
