    Good afternoon everyone,
I seem to have managed not to press "post comment" yesterday!
We've had some really manky cold and wet weather over the last 24 hours but seems to be drying up now.
Yesterday I was at physio and I'm very sore and bruised today. A necessary evil but worth it.
HM turkey soup for lunch. My sister is coming for dinner tonight. I'm roasting I chook which we'll have with spuds, salad and HM coleslaw.

Dull but trying to brighten up, very mild compared to lately.

Dr's & prescription collecting first thing, then into town, Marks for a change, and hoping I'd find a nice cauli
Wishes came true, nice big cauli £1.20, do for a couple of cauli cheese days at least
Plus YS posh Marks bangers, Honey & Mustard, going exotic here

However, when I came to pay my CC wanted to enter PIN, not swipe. Of course, I'd forgotten that, but luckily I always have cash on me so not a problem.

I topped up with diesel as well, same, PIN wanted, this time I thought I knew it, but seems not :( , cash to rescue again

Just good job I'm Old School and carry cash with me. Not sure if CC difficulty is me or recent Barclays IT issues, but I must remember to get more cash out, just in case.

    Lunch, Marks YS sausage sarnie
Dinner, More Marks YS sausages, AF chips, eggs & sautéed mushrooms. Plus maybe grilled tomatoes, I have some very watery ones from the Asda delivery.

I picked up my blood test form and I booked the appointment when I got in. I had meditation and a therapy session and then I walked around the charity shops so I have already done 11,000 steps today.

I had cornflakes before I left and some slices of bakery bread and butter when I got home. I bought some lovely cherries from the greengrocer so I will have them now.

I had my initial appointment with my consultant re my hip today, he agreed that it needs replacing but it will be four to six months.  Whilst there I had bloods, weight, height etc done.  I wasn't sure where I was going and allowed plenty of time I was 40 minutes early and went straight in which meant I was leaving  the car park at my appointment time 🙂 I was happy to be driving across the Ashdown Forest before it got really dark especially as the rain started when I got home. I hadn't realised how isolated it was.  He wants to do the op using a nerve block, hopefully it will mean I won't be as sick as I was with a general 🤢 so many one line forms when I got home

Last of the tuna mayo on a jacket potato for lunch.  Burger and salad for dinner, this was a YS Waitrose burger and reminded me why I usually buy the FSs apple and pork ones they are much nicer and moister.

Hard frost this morning, but hazy sun, so may improve as day goes by

Good news on your hip Brambling, given I've heard of years waiting times.

My YS posh Marks Mustard & Honey bangers were a let-down with bits of gristle, not any old gristle, M & S gristle :s
    I'll not buy those again

    Today should be better
    Lunch, salad sandwich
Dinner, HM cauliflower cheese using the nice one from Marks I bought along with the gristly sausages
Hopefully no slug hiding in the middle of it :o

    Good afternoon everyone,
Doesn't sound like too long a wait Brambling, one of my friend's OH had a hip replaced using a nerve block and sedation. He said he'd take that option again anytime.
Dry, chilly and trying to be sunny here today, yesterday it we had torrential rain again late afternoon and evening but hopefully a few dry days on the cards.
LO chicken and coleslaw for lunch. Trying a new recipe tonight, sausage meatballs with stuffed pasta and broth. I'll make some garlic bread to go with it.

    Good news Brambling.

I went to some charity shops to look for a smart coat to wear to the afternoon tea this weekend. I found a brown long jacket. Not my favourite colour, but it will have to do. I had some of the bakery bread made into a sandwich this morning.

I had the craniosacral therapy yesterday and started to feel very achy last night. Today I suddenly felt extremely tired and achy when i got back from the shops so I had a two hour nap. I don't know if that is a normal reaction so I will ask her next week. It is a very light therapy and she barely touched me!

That meant I didn't have lunch so I'm going to make some now.

A friend add one knee replaced under general and the second with a nerve block and says the same, she regrets not having both done that way

i was invited to lunch at my sisters with little one today, just some crumpets with cheese and ham.  Little one was playing doctors 🙂 she knows just what to say after so many visits to hospital (two so far this year already) I was told my ears were ok but my chest was noisy!

I went out tonight with friends to see on line showing of Macbeth with David Tennant as Macbeth

Easy dinner of beans on toast as I was out early.
