Back after a few days being fed elsewhere, somewhere along the way i have “cricked” my back to I'm gently walking about lopsided againI expect a spell in my recliner chair, lightly partaking of Hotel Chocalat selection box will help ease my twinges. No cooking today, not just with my back but generally nothing I fancy, plus I have lots of bits to pick at, including at lamb leg which needs using or freezing nowEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Hope the back eases Farway.
Dull, damp but still very. My sis and nephew have developed horrible colds, I'm hoping they haven't shared!
Today I need to make sense of the chaos that is my fridge, freeze a few bits and make a plan for the rest. The turkey is nearly finished. The carcass has been bagged and frozen to make stock and the scrappy bits and LO gravy will be frozen to make soup next week and after that there's enough left for lunch time sandwiches today. There's a few pigs in blankets left but DS2 will dispatch them today. I'm determined that absolutely nothing will be wasted including all the bits DS1 and DIL2B brought from their fridge but I need to have a good look at dates so nothing gets missed. Fishfinger sandwiches with pickles and salad for dinner tonight.0 -
As much as its nice to spend time with family I'm so glad to be back in my own home
Turkey and cranberry sandwich for lunch.
I feel in need of something light and fresh tonight - so I'll load a plate with salad leaves, tomato, spring onion, coleslaw, pickled beetroot, smoked salmon and maybe a hard boiled egg.

What horrible weather out there. Foggy and chilly and dark.
I had cornflakes for breakfast and the last two veggie sausage rolls for lunch. I'm probably going to have more pasta, veg and sun dried tomato sauce for dinner. I am going to get some frozen fruit out of the freezer to make a smoothie too.0 -
Hope the back eases Farway.are you Frank sitting Caronc?I'm glad everyone had a good Christmas 🤶 I regretted agreeing to volunteer today, the alarm was a shock especially as I forgot we were starting half hour later today, it was only in town so no driving to petworth in the fog and drizzle.
i took cheese and crackers for lunch as I forgot to cook part baked roll, unfortunately too much 'rubbish' by the kettle to pick at. Easy dinner of pasta in a cream cheese, garlic and parsley sauceLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Another grey & dull day outsideMy back is much the same, not painful but sometimes if I move a bit “sharp” it catches me out, luckily nothing needs doing, so lack of easy movement is not a problemCleared out some fridge stuff, carved the lab leg & lots now in the freezerLunch, not sure, cheese & crackers perhapsDinner, some of the lamb will go in a Lancashire hotpot, nice & warming in this weather, I can even have my HM red cabbage with it.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good afternoon everyone,
Yep Brambling we are looking after Frank and DS2 has just collected Ari from my sis as she is loaded with the cold and to add insult to injury has put her back out!
Grey, damp and cooler here today.
I gave the fridge a good sort out yesterday and what needed frozen was. There's some bits of veg needing used up but they'll find a home tonight as I'm making naan bread pizza and coleslaw. Cheese and crackers with fruit for lunch.0 -
Chilly again today. We are meant to get some sun tomorrow.
I had a big bowl of porridge with raspberries and milk for breakfast. It filled me up so I haven't had lunch yet. I hardly ever have porridge, but it was nice.
I know I am having crackers, cheese, nuts, pickled onions and fruit when my shopping arrives this evening. I just fancied something like that.
I will look to see what to have for lunch now.2025 GOALS

Pleasantly mild and sunny here, made a pot of broth for lunch, had a brisk walk around town before catching up on some paperwork this afternoon.
Half a sirloin steak for tea tonight with some stir fried peppers, beansprouts and noodles.

Back to CFOing for a couple of days. Was sunny and cold when I left the family this morning but have driven through a lot of fog and mist and it’s just grey and cold at home.Had a homemade cold meat sandwich en route with a bought coffee. Got the car unpacked then went straight out to do a shop to keep me going until the weekend, including a couple of YS items to make soup. Made prawn and sugar snap pea Thai red curry with noodles tonight.0
