    Good morning everyone,
Good haul Brambling, I've been stocking up on the offers too!
Butcher's order arrived yesterday, it was late on so it's just been popped in the fridge. I'll sort out and portion stuff today and then get my stuffing and pigs in blankets made for Christmas. Apart from the veg and odd bits that's my contribution to the Christmas food sorted out.  :) DS2 is at the office today so will visit the big nearby Asian supermarket on his way home to stock up on spices, their lovely freshly made naans and if they have any left samosas and pakoras.
Bagel thin for lunch with ham and salad. Usual Friday tbc for dinner.
  • I had the leftover houmous on toast for breakfast along with a banana. I had to go out and pick up my thyroid prescription and it is cold out there. Horrible. I'm just having a cup of green tea now to warm up.

Tesco is due at 12 and I'm getting cat litter delivered from Amazon too.

  • Cold, grey and damp today but haven’t left the house and the forecast for tomorrow is much better 🤞

Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on potato waffles (retro but yummy 😉) for lunch. Chorizo and chickpea stew with garlic bread and 🍷 tonight.

Glad it’s the weekend. Need to get Christmas sorted before the final push at work next week…

A dull day but at least most of it was dry, having said that I was indoors all day volunteering so it could have been doing anything 🤷‍♀️ I was in town so only a couple of miles from home.

Pastrami and cream cheese on olive ciabatta for lunch and a nice easy turkey broth for dinner.

Still grey with just hint of blue sky, which will be a nice change

This weekend is to sort out Christmas cards, and the last Asda order before Christmas, it's my recurring slot next Wednesday, so apart from fresh veg no problems I can foresee.

I've got a gammon joint in the slow cooker, it was intended for Christmas but decided to go now rather than freeze & muck about.
It's only me, not like I have loads of people to cater for, so when I prep it is my choice.
It's large enough for some meals this weekend & I could freeze LO if I feel like it

Lunch, LO nuked cauli flower cheese. Nice and warming.
Dinner, Gammon will make an appearance, not sure if inside sandwiches, or alongside eggs & chips

  • I had toast and Flora and Marmite and a chai latte. Grey and dull weather again. I need to post a letter and pop to the shop, but that is all for today.

    Good morning everyone,
Damp but mild here today. I didn't get around to sorting out the butcher meat yesterday so that's today's challenge.
Dinner last night was was cottage pie topped with cauliflower cheese instead of mash there was portion of savoury mince in the freezer and one of cauliflower cheese and I couldn't decide which to have. It made a nice combination and I'll enjoy the LOs for lunch. Meatball sandwiches for dinner tonight with salad and HM wedges.
  • Day out yesterday meeting up with an old friend and the first turkey dinner of the season which left me totally stuffed so just cheese and crackers when I got home.

Lunch today using up the cottage cheese, salad bits and crispbreads.

Pasta with hm tomato sauce and piri piri seasoned pork meatballs tonight.

Dry and nice weather today which made Petworth very busy.  There were a couple of choirs singing in the courtyard one this morning and one this afternoon which I popped out to listen to but regretted leaving my coat upstairs 🥶 the sun was setting over the house as I walked down to the carpark, I wished I stopped to take a picture

Lunch was the same as yesterday ciabatta roll with cream cheese and pastrami with some raw spinach today.  Dinner with friends tonight 😋 now I'm catching up on strictly as I don't want to catch who wins elsewhere in the morning

Back to dull & grey weather

I cooked my gammon in the slow cooker yesterday, turned out very well IMO. Now it's cold & slices easily, I'll use some and maybe freeze the rest.
I even had Ham N eggs for breakfast!

Card writing later today, then posting maybe tomorrow on a trip into town. I want to get some local honey from the greengrocer, and maybe into Iceland for broken biscuits & YS mooch.

    Lunch, ham & pickle sarnie
Dinner, ham, eggs & frozen AF chips
