It's rain on and off most of the day especially heavy when I went out just before 7pm to watch wicked with my sister so I drove us to the cinema rather than walking

I cooked extra chicken last night so had a chicken sandwich for lunch as a change from gammon,  as I was going out just a quick dinner of beans on toast

  • The last slice of bread with smooth peanut butter. Chai latte. I'm going to have more tomato and basil soup for lunch with a baguette.

There is a xmas fair down near the beach this weekend, but the weather is meant to be horrible and rainy with this storm.

    Good morning everyone,
    Wet and very windy here.
My meeting finished at a reasonable time so I jazzed up the baked beans with veg and spices and had some with a fried egg and toast. There's LOs for lunch. Managed to make a decent dent in the chores I wanted to tackle while DS2 and Hector are away yesterday. Today I've voluntary admin to do and some Christmas cards to write. I'm only posting a few this year. Peri peri marinated chicken leg with roasted cauliflower and green beans for dinner tonight.
  • I went to Coop to buy batons and a few things while the weather is fairly nice and bright. I made a quick carrot and red lentil soup for my weekend lunches.

Quite bright & dry, worse is on the way though.
Chiropodist first thing, then Morries mooching, impulse buy of white cabbage, YS black pudding & YS posh smoked salmon. Freezing both for Christmas.

Made coleslaw with some white cabbage, to go with tonight's salad.

    Lunch, another HM burger
Dinner, salad time, some of the half salmon I bought the other day, rest to freezer, HM coleslaw, jacket spud

  • Its dry but a layer of cloud blocking out the sun today. I did some washing and hung it out early, not quite dry when I brought it in so its now airing in front of the radiator.

Ham and salad croissant for lunch again.

Pasta with ragu sauce, ts broccoli and hm garlic bread tonight.

I received a email from Petworth saying it was closed this weekend due to the weather, I wasn't volunteering tomorrow.

It was a lovely day today but I was volunteering so didn't get out to enjoy it, at least it is only in town so not too farto travel 🙂

sandwich taken into volunteering for lunch.  Pulled pork from Lidl for dinner, not a lot of meat in a large box! It looked a pick like a hockey puck, size and shape 🤨 it wouldn't have fed two, I had about 3/4 of it with rice and broccoli. Tasted ok but not one I'll buy again.

  • It is starting to feel quite windy here. I might pop out to the shop quickly at some point today but that is it.

I am going to have a smoothie with blueberries, banana and soya milk and then the soup I made yesterday with baguette.

    Good afternoon everyone,
My it was wild overnight but the rain if not the wind has eased for now though not for long if the forecast is accurate. I'm hoping DS2 gets home before the Amber warning hits but we thankfully aren't due to get it nearly as bad as some areas. I hope everyone has the hatches well battened down. I'll venture to the bin shortly, grab some logs and have a quick check for any storm damage.
There's a portion of cauliflower cheese left which I'll freeze and some chicken which I'll have for lunch. Tonight it's HM baguette pizza with coleslaw and wedges.

Just as well, it's pretty grotty now, wind & rain, best indoors
My Postie is still in shorts though :o

Lunch was last of the HM burgers
Dinner, greasy spoon mixed grill, YS black pudding, sausages, fried eggs, mushrooms and AF frozen chips.
For a nod at health, grilled tomato
