Snap on mild but murky, it looked damp out all day too…just laundry, food shopping and pottering today.
Got some buttermilk pancakes RTC in Waitrose yesterday so had fried egg, tomatoes and pancakes for lunch. Tapas/mezze/picky bits tonight while I watched strictly 😋0 -
Looks like mild but murky has been every where today 🙄 it kept trying to drizzle.
Petworth volunteering today and it was manic due to its Christmas market, traffic causing chaos on the roads before they opened at 10am, most of us volunteers missed the briefing trying to get in and parked. I was told the police had to sort the traffic around the town late morning as its car park was also full, it's only a small town with narrow roads and a PITA one way system. They were opened late tonight but there was two of us today so I left on time as he lives in Petworth so walks. Note to self don't offer to work next year!I forgot to take my sandwich for lunch and you couldn't get near the cafe so bag of crisps for lunch and I raided the staff room biscuits.
I bad night sleep meant I was really tired when I got home, I sat down with a cuppa and woke to cold tea, a warm cat and a stiff neck! So dinner was my emergency tin of tomato soup and cheese on toastLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Dull and dark outside today, but not actually chilly. I just had a toastie and a yoghurt and I'm about to make a cup of tea and catch up with YouTube.0

I had a major CBA day yesterday, reheated a portion of potato & leek soup for lunch and as the afternoon wore on I decided to pop out for a shop bought pizza for tea - tbh it wasn't that good so wont be doing that again
Cooked gammon and salad roll for lunch.
Roast chicken, roast potatoes, pearl onions & peas tonight.

Good afternoon everyone,
Another mildish but murky day. It's supposed to get quite chilly tonight.
Washing machine has been installed and tested. I just need to get used to the new settings layout! Big freezer turned back on okay so will get it refilled this afternoon.
I'm just about to pop a small gammon joint in the slow cooker. We'll have some hot tonight and the rest will get used up for lunches during the week. Lunch is tbc, something eggy I think.0 -
A bit late arriving, domestic work, like insurance renewal, back up hard drive full, all niggles but time-consuming. Still trying to sort the insurance, no problems, just time.Wet & raining, gloomy day and not one for being out and aboutLunch, cheese & pickle sarnieDinner, I have LO beef stew, but TBH it's not my best and I can see it being binned.I may just have sausages, eggs & AF chipsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Only been as far as the shed today 😂
Rainy and grey until early afternoon but it hadn’t dried up for long before it started getting dark. Did some decluttering and some tiny bits of touching up decorating, ironed the few bits that needed it and made pork, leek and apple casserole in the slow cooker.
Had some of the LO tapas bits for lunch. Dinner was a portion of the casserole with mustard mash and cabbage.0 -
Snap on the gammon 🙂 just a small M&S one brought YS and froze, usually pressure cook but popped in the oven when I cooked dinner so it will do for a few meals. I'm tempted to buy a cauliflower tomorrow as I do like cauliflower cheese with gammon, I'll see how I feel about that tomorrow 🤨
I was tired this morning so a lazy start to the day, it's been grey and wet so I had no wish to go out in it.
I had half a tin of beans in the fridge so beans on toast for lunch. I made the Hairy Bikers sausage casserole for dinner 😋 popping it in the oven with the gammon rather than cooking on the hob, I also cooked a small acorn squash. Casserole was had with rice and French and runner beans and tenderstem broccoli. Plenty of LOs even after I halved the recipe

Indifferent weather, supposed to rain later and a cold night ahead, but I'll only venture as far as the wheelie bin todayAsda delivery ordered, leg of lamb & half salmon on half price offer, if they arrive & not out of stock, I intend freezing, portion up the salmon first.Brambling said:Snap on the gammon 🙂 just a small M&S one brought YS and froze, usually pressure cook but popped in the oven when I cooked dinner so it will do for a few meals.
