Good morning everyone,
Cold and grey here. It's above freezing but doesn't feel it.
CFO tonight as DS2 is off to an industry awards ceremony and won't be back until tomorrow. He's been nominated for one of the awards so I'm a very proud Mum.He'll head off shortly after he's back from taking Hector for a decent walk.
LOs/fridge gravel and freezer rake for dinner tonight.1 -
Well done to son No2 Caronc always nice when talent and hard work is recognised.
Bitterly cold again overnight, sleety snow in the early hours then a hard frost before dawn. The temp had dropped enough for the heating to kick in around 3.00 AM.
I was beginning to feel a bit stir crazy haven't been anywhere for a few days, so went to get on a bus but the one going North was cancelled so jumped on the one going South had a wander around the shops, picked up a few bits in Te$co then back home for a late lunch of leftover "Spanish" chicken.
Tonight I'm having a salmon & leek (potato topped) pie with some roast asparagus on the side.

Last really cold day here for a while, if the forecast is correct. WFH so heating has been on but took the chance to dry some washing on the airer in front of a radiator.
Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch. One pan sausage and spinach gnocchi tonight 😋1 -
well done to your son Caronc 👏
it's meant to get warmer here as well JKS, there was a heavy frost first thing but it got quite sunny quite before I left this morning.
i met my friend in Chichester today we had lunch and then her husband brought us tea, well we just drank a cup of tea and he had cake. Packed train on the way home I think due to the issues at Gatwick. I obviously look like the maternal type as a young women moved to sit opposite me on the train and told me how anxious the 'bombing' at Gatwick made her and she then off loaded issues re her new job, horrible manager, moving home and the issues in the Mid East. I hadn't seen any news but did confirm to her there was no bombingSnack on the fishfinger sandwich Farway, although mine was a baguette. Dinner was a small beef suet pie from M&S with some broccoli I don't think I'll buy one againLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -

It feels much warmer here today, but it is rainy. I have put the heating on for an hour to heat up the house more and as my cat isn't well.
I'm not sure what to have for breakfast as I don't fancy toast for once.1 -
Good morning everyone,
Well DS2 one the award in the category he was nominated for. I'm so proud of him.
The weather is foul here, no proper snow just lumpy wet stuff and very windy but there's lots of snow round about and some of the main routes are badly affected. DS2 is facing a long and difficult journey home so goodness knows when he'll get back. DS1 and DIL2B's street is pretty much snowed in after a heavy fall a few hours ago but it's supposed to thaw later. I'm not even venturing to the bin!
HM soup from the freezer and it chicken wraps, with coleslaw and wedges or baked spuds for dinner.1 -
