I forgot posting yesterday as well, I was out during the afternoon and forgot until I was in bed
Back to rain today, not heavy just persistent ☔️ I woke at 4 this morning to what sounded like a car engine running, it seemed to go on a long time but I cba to get out of bed and look. My furry alarm clock unfortunately expected his morning routine at the usual time! I've been a little bleary eyed and brain today.
Pastrami and cream cheese bagel for lunch. Chilli with garlic bread for dinner, there are LOs
rummaging in the fridge after dinner I placed the egg box on top of some leeks on the top shelf and forgot to move them back again so I've just opened the fridge and the box fell out 🙄 and four eggs cracked, I've cracked into a cup and it will be a large omelette tomorrow or a cakeLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Rain & grey again, guess rain is a bit better than snow for those walkingBrambling said:rummaging in the fridge after dinner I placed the egg box on top of some leeks on the top shelf and forgot to move them back again so I've just opened the fridge and the box fell out 🙄 and four eggs cracked, I've cracked into a cup and it will be a large omelette tomorrow or a cakeSpot of luck, just cracked instead of splodging everywhere, at least you get to eat themI've made a tea loaf first thing, to go with my HM marmalade. The marmalade is a tad runny despite my best endeavours, it'll be fine for porridge mixing and on toast.Lunch, last of the LO roast pork in a sandwich.Dinner, use up LO beef stew & dumps from SundayAsda delivery tomorrow, just in time, should be posh chicken legs for dinner in there.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Rainy here, at least I didn't get any snow. I'm about to make a hot drink. I know I have some bread to use up before Tesco arrives later

Good morning everyone,
Lucky breakwith eggs Brambling.
No snow here but some away from the coast. Very cold, gloomy and icy though. DS2 will do the bin run as I struggle if it's slippy underfoot.
The paneer curry was delicious. I made the full recipe so plenty LO for lunch.
Trying another new one tonight - Chicken & Potato traybake Chicken & Potato Tray Bake (Tavuk Kebabı)0 -
Weather-wise its bitterly cold, sunshine and snow flurries but I did push myself to go out for a walk as I'm well aware the majority of folk in Scotland can be deficient in Vitamin D, so I make the most of the sunshine while I can.
A warming bowl of B/nut squash soup & toast for lunch.
Back to the shop bought filled pasta for an easy tea tonight with hm tomato sauce and a good grating of cheddar cheese.

No snow down here just rain ☔️ it did get very windy last night and I thought about shutting the window but was too lazy to get out of bed
I popped into town after lunch to pick up something from M&S but as I only put a hour on the car I didn't linger other than going into the small shop in town which sells small packs of herbs amongst other things, they have bins with flour, sugar etc
I didn't get around to using the cracked eggs today, I may bake a lemon drizzle tomorrow 🤨
Sausage sandwich with brown sauce for lunch. Breaded cod with chips and veg for dinner

Mm, I love brown sauce with chips. I might buy some today.
I'm having a CBD infused drink at the moment. I bought these last year and bought them again as i couldn't remember what they were like. I'm making a toasted sandwich for brunch. I have some freezer lasagnes so I'm going to have that for lunch later with a big salad.
It was icy here this morning, but it is sunny now. I'm not sure how cold it is as I have all the windows closed at the moment.2025 GOALS

Good afternoon everyone,
Bitterly cold and frosty here, the sun is shining but ice isn't really melting.
DS1 and DIL2B have been smitten with a flu-type virus so we have Frank until they feel well enough to take him out. The downside of living in a flat with no garden. My sis has also come down with a cold but isn't feeling too dreadful so far. Definitely lots of nasty bugs about, here's hoping the cold weather kills them off.
The Turkish chicken and potato traybake was gorgeous but took an absolute age to cook. There's LOs as apart from reducing the number of chicken pieces I made the full recipe.
Dinner is tbc as I have an early evening meeting and DS2 is working late, we might get a takeaway.

First frost of winter here this morning, very cold but bright sun & blue sky. OK if wrapped up well I guess.Asda delivery arrived a tad early again, not that I mind, I'm up anywayTwo subs, both unsuitable, so returned them with driver, but worse was nil posh chicken legs, I did opt for no subs so that was my choice, all or nothing.Quick change of dinner plan, but I'll not bother ordering those again, never in stock it seems, so may as well order something else to start withLunch, cheese toastyDinner, I've found a long-lost pack of fish cakes lurking in the freezer, so it's some of those, with frozen AF chips & peasEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
