Still grey & dull but I suppose it beats blizzards

Lunch, snap Brambling, I'm on crumpets, topped with some cheese
Dinner, grilled pork chop, unsure of accompaniments, roast spuds, mash, chips, fresh / frozen veg?

My sister and I went out for a pottery 'taster' session this morning very small studio and he only gives lessons to two people at a time, surprisingly enough we both managed to produce a item on the wheel, he was a very good teacher 🙂 very relaxing and slightly messy way to spend a morning

I'm picturing that scene from Ghost. :D

He was no Patrick Swayze although a nice looking chap - alas we were old enough to be his mother 🫣

Volunteering day at Petworth another grey day so it didn't matter I was stuck indoors.

  • I'm having some sparkling water with lemon and deciding what to have for breakfast. I might have a hot bath first. It is still quite mild and not as grey and dark as it has been lately. It doesn't feel like November at all.

Grey & dull again, even felt a few rain spots while I was out, but it came to nothing

Lunch was salad sarnie, was going to be more crumpets, but they have gone mouldy.
I think I'll stop buying them because that's twice it's happened & I just don't eat them quickly enough, CFO problems right there. :(
Dinner, nuked jacket spud, with tuna Mayo insert + salad

  • I had a day away yesterday and no cfo required  :)

Still a bit grey here as well as the rain turning up, I think its due to get brighter but cooler soon, swings and roundabouts as they say.

Square sausage sandwich for lunch, obligatory brown sauce.

Prawn & pepper stir fry with noodles.

Crumpets freeze really well, we freeze them in the amounts we’re going to use them so, for one person might be two or three. Don’t need to defrost either, just straight from freezer into toaster or under grill.

  • Was out last night so just tomatoes on toast for lunch to report. I did also succumb to a (free) chocolate muffin during the afternoon 😉

Very easy weekend here after a manic week at work. Done the necessary domestic things, bit of voluntary admin and lots of rest. Had a lovely time making nana’s magic soup this morning, had some for lunch plus another 5 portions stashed away 😋

Roasted salmon, new potatoes and tenderstem broccoli with creme fraiche and caper sauce tonight. Finally had the energy to catch up with the first episode of the new series of Shetland tonight, so so good.

I was going to suggest freezing crumpets as well 🙂 definitely freeze in portions as it's dangerous to separate with a knife!  :#

I do like nanas magic soup JKS so easy to make and so tasty 😋 I may need to see if I have a sweet potato to make tomorrow

Slow day, I caught up on some washing, just need to do my bedding tomorrow.  I also caught up on Shetland

I used the last of my HM coleslaw and had another cheese and coleslaw sandwich for lunch.  Steak, new potatoes and veg for dinner with salsa verde

A bit of sunshine & blue sky at long last, very welcome after what seems weeks of grey.

Thanks, and Brambling. Freezing them never crossed my mind, doh! That'll save a lot of problems.

Lunch, LO tuna + mayo in a sarnie
Dinner, Cheese & onion quiche / flan out defrosting, I'll have with HM AF chips + salad bits
