Good morning everyone,
Hope your pasta worked N2BT sounds delicious, mine was just bought stuff though I did make the sauce!
Unfortunately DS2 and I are lurgified and I'm really really quite rubbish. Hoping it's just a yukky cold as we are supposed to be heading to my sister's tomorrow evening for my nephew's birthday and a day of rest, fluids etc. ease it a bit. Lunch will be HM soup from the freezer and is supposed to be HM hunter's chicken tonight if I CBA cooking it.0 -
Grey againDrs first thing for annual check, all OK, but I did notice the Chippy opposite is now an Indian Smash burger joint. No idea what that would be and very unlikely to eat one, but at least it's not an empty derelict shopHope your lurgy clears up Caron, I'm sure this gloomy weather doesn't helpTalking of HM soup, I may venture into Leek & Potato land now I have leeks to hand. I have made it before & know just how easy it is.Lunch, toasted crumpets + cheese toppingDinner, grill last pork chop, with AF chips & mushroomsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I had leftover penne pasta for brunch. I went for a short walk, but it is still grey and depressing weather. I want some crisp and sunny Autumn days.0

Back to cloudy and grey here again.
Sorry you are feeling poorly Caronc, hope it clears up soon. I was well chuffed with my pasta dish last night, in the past I've always bought cannelloni tubes and used a piping bag to fill them but will definitely do the lasagne sheet version again
I also dipped into the freezer soup stash for lunch again, lentil this time.
Tonight something I don't have very often, sirloin steak, and I'll do hm chips, peas and pearl onions to go with it.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

It’s constant grey gloom here at the moment 🙄
Last of the green soup from the freezer (leek, pea and mint) with a cheese topped roll for lunch. Creamy sausage and sun dried tomato gnocchi with green beans tonight.0 -
Grey and drizzling again today 🙄
I sat around my sister's house from 1pm today waiting for an engineer, my nephew was about but needed to go out. I was fed tea and HM brownies 😋 I got home about 4.30pm and used the opportunity to finish my book
Early lunch of roast feta soup with croutons. LO jerk chicken for dinner with some rice and vegetables

Depressingly dull and grey here again, just a quick walk around the town centre to the fishmonger and the baker.
Cheese and pickle toastie for lunch.
Tonight I'm having haddock in breadcrumbs, tartare sauce, peas and pearl onions again as I'm trying to use up freezer stuff.

Yep, more grey here. Colder too, although I only left the house after work to buy emergency wine in the sainsbugs deal 😉
Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch. New potato, red pepper, halloumi and mango chutney traybake with mint and yoghurt dressing tonight. Oh, and 🍷!0 -
I hope you are feeling better Caronc
My sister and I went out for a pottery 'taster' session this morning very small studio and he only gives lessons to two people at a time, surprisingly enough we both managed to produce a item on the wheel, he was a very good teacher 🙂 very relaxing and slightly messy way to spend a morning
I dropped my sister off home and she fed me some crumpets for lunch. Duck breast with a tamarind and ginger sauce with noodles and tenderstem broccoli for dinner
