No actual cooking here today (although I did warm up a scotch pancake in the toaster for breakfast 😂). Out for lunch so a smoked salmon sandwich and a 🍷 while watching the strictly results this evening.0

Hope you enjoyed your schnitzel as much as I did Brambling.
A grey but dry day but not that cold, so no heating on yet. I looked out the bedroom window this morning and was relieved that it was 'not my cat' carrying the mouse down the road, especially when he dropped it and it tried to make a break for freedom so very much aliveluckily his lordship is pass all that and TBH has only brought 3 live ones home after I first got him and sicked up two dead ones !! I think shouting at him deterred him as he can be a timid wee beastie 🐱
My nephew and I took my sister as part of her birthday to the local theatre this afternoon for a on screen showing of phantom of the opera which is a favourite of hers and neither my nephew or I had seen itLunch was ham and cheese salad. Easy dinner of LO cottage pie and vegetables so it must needed to be pingedLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
More dull & grey, but better than drizzle at least.I've lots of HG apples from my trees, and it's looking like I'm not going to be eating them quickly enough, so later today I'm going to stew & freeze for another dayLunch, last of the cold pork pie, with some salad bitsDinner, still making freezer space, especially if I'm now going to put stewed apples in
, so, it's frozen pizza plus salad

Good morning everyone,
Nice sounding salmon recipe N2BT, I'll report back on the curry tomorrow.
Just waiting for the roofer to arrive to do some minor repairs and checks before winter kicks in.
The chook I cooked yesterday was a good size so plenty LO for lunchtime sandwiches and to make a pie tomorrow.
Gloomy and cooler here today. One of those days where it's not actually raining but the air if full of water.0 -
More to the point it was nice and easy Caronc, just the way I like it
Its grey here too just hoping it is a bit brighter tomorrow.
More from the freezer soup stash for lunch then a couple of onion bhajis, chopped salad and hm kebab sauce for tea.

Another grey and dry but mild day here, I’d love to see the sunshine, Wednesday!
Freezer stash soup for lunch with a chunk of sourdough. All the soup in the freezer is green but different flavours 😂. Today was the leek, pea and mint one.
Made spaghetti puttanesca tonight, my chilli can’t have been very strong as the sauce was missing the kick of heat. Perhaps it will be better when warmed up for lunch tomorrow 🙃0 -
Grey but warm for November here 🙂
His lordship needed his annual jabs today, he's still feeling sorry for himself as is my bank accounteven though I booked him in with a female vet he was so frightened and went as flat as he could on the table 😔 he doesn't do strangers, he has an anti inflammatory injection as well because he has reacted to the jab previously so he's had a lazy afternoon and evening when I went out.
it's my sister's birthday so I took her to the local garden centre this morning for tea and cake as there was a inset day at school. We know how to live 😁 it was her idea as she wanted to go into Pavers shoes in the GC, unfortunately I was also tempted with trainers 🤑 I has a cheese scone rather than cake which meant I just needed a banana for a late lunch. There was a family dinner tonight.

It is the opposite and very grey and dark today. I have the light on, but I still barely see the laptop. I just went to bring the other lamp in here. I had sourdough toast with Flora and Bonne Maman marmalade.
