    Good morning everyone,
    Still gloomy and damp here.
Roofer did most of the work needed yesterday but needs to order a piece of replacement guttering so will be back later in the week. He reckons it's probably the original guttering so has lasted well. I'll bet the new bit doesn't last as long!
The curry was lovely N2BT, definitely on the "make again" list though maybe with chickpeas as I think their nuttiness would work really well. There's some sauce and rice left, I'll have it for lunch with some added spinach.
My sis and nephew are coming for dinner. I made the filling for a chicken, bacon and veg pie yesterday so not too much to prepare today.
  • Weather dull and grey again here too, not inspiring me to do very much except the needful.

Glad you enjoyed the curry Caronc, I've copied it in to my recipe list to try at a later date.

    Prawn salad pitta for lunch.

I'm still working my way through the freezer stock so tonight I'll have the last portion of the mixed bean chilli with a baked potato and some broccoli.

  • Yep, ongoing greyness here too, where are the bright autumnal days?

LO spaghetti puttanesca for lunch. Had my usual early tea of beans with toast. Off swimming shortly.

Gloomy and grey here too, but not cold enough yet for my heating and I still have the summer duvet on

Went to complete some jobs for an elderly friend this morning and came back with a bag of books to dispose of.  Came home via Lidl as you can park lunch time this early in the week

Ham and cheese sandwich for lunch.  Some FS lamb liver from the freezer for dinner with fried onions, mash and vegetables.

  • Horrible day here, very gloomy and grey and chilly. I am about to have some tea and a couple of satsumas. I think I might have some Heinz tomato soup and a roll for my proper breakfast as I feel cold from my (very short) walk outside.

    Good morning everyone,
Gloomy and damp here but really quite mild.
My nephew inhaled several portions of dinner last night so disappointingly no LOs for lunch! Fridge gravel it will need to be possibly and egg and tomato wrap. Stuffed pasta with a tomato and veg sauce for dinner.

Still grey & gloomy, slight breeze so at least something happening

Asda delivery arrived, zero cucumber and not subbed. Not a big problem in November TBH, I wonder if the Rain in Spain has anything to do with it?
I had ordered some FR chicken legs, but none of those either. Again, not a problem, just thought I'd try some as they are part of the super posh range

    Lunch, fake Spam sarnie
Dinner, leeks were in my delivery, so it's leeks + savoy cabbage, with HM nuke cheese sauce. + LO nuked mash
It was going to be with FR chick leg, but now with grilled posh French cut pork loin.

  • Sun is out and a light breeze, hoorah, got some washing on the line early on probably wont dry fully but at least its out for a bit.

Farway I heard that peppers are likely to be in short supply following the Spanish floods, but in saying that the cucumber I have is also from Spain  :(

Found some slices of boiled ham and a small portion of pineapple in the freezer, will have that with the last of the little gem lettuce, toms and cucumber for lunch.

Ditto with some filled pasta tonight Caronc, I have a hm tomato sauce on the hob at the moment and will try using lasagne sheets to create cannelloni tubes fill with some feta and spinach, chopped olives and capers, top with the tom sauce, parmesan and bake. Steamed broccoli as a side.

  • Still gloomy here and a bit damp too.

Today’s green soup was broccoli and Stilton. Prawn, red pepper and pea egg fried rice tonight.

Damp and gloomy too and trying to rain when I went out this evening

Roast feta soup for lunch, I tweaked a recipe I found to fit the vegetables I had in my fridge, roasting tomatoes, pepper, red onion, sweet potato and Gareth the feta.  More pink than red but tasty 😋
