Nice sunny morning with the autumn leaf colours really showing nowI have to finalise my Asda shopping for next week delivery, they've had another round of price rises, yogurt & eggs I notice, I expect there are lots I have not spottedLunch, toast using last stale crust, maybe an egg on top?Dinner, the other French cut posh chop. Last night's was nice, thick and mostly all meat without manky bits. They are not cheap, but at least it's fair value.I'll have with AF frozen chips + salad bitsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Productive wfh day, grey and damp to start, sun did try a bit during the afternoon.
Ricotta and pesto tortellini, tuna, sweetcorn and sun dried tomatoes for lunch. Prawn and vegetable Thai red curry with noodles tonight.0 -
It's been a nice day and I had hope to wash my bedding to put on the line but had a early text from southern water to say there was a water leak near me and they hoped to keep us supplied but it would be limited pressure, seeing as the shower didn't have any ump to get hot I decided not to chance the washing machine. I didn't lose water but did fill up pots and jugs just in case and the pressure improved by 6pm, no text to say all ok now so if there are issues tomorrow I'll shower at my sisters before volunteering as my hair needs washing as well.
I made a couple of scotch eggs this morning using FS pork and leek sausages, I'll not buy the Sainsbury's mixed size eggs again as they were so small, at least the Waitrose and M&S mixed size eggs are always a good size! Lunch was a scotch egg with watercress salad. I also made a pot of Italian wedding soup which ended up due to an oops moment very heavy on the orzo pasta 🙄 but very tasty.Chicken tray bake made with chorizo, peppers, onions, tomatoes and new potatoes so a lazy one pot meal, LO for another night maybe SundayLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Overnight rain, but sun sort of now. Forecast is not good for tomorrow, worse further North of course.Supposed to be visiting DS tomorrow morning, so could be wet & blowy on the motorway, at least it'll be dry in G Centre café which is where we often finish upBrambling said:I'll not buy the Sainsbury's mixed size eggs again as they were so small, at least the Waitrose and M&S mixed size eggs are always a good size!Lunch, open a tin of Essential veg soup, very near expiry date so time to use upDinner, LO spag bol, nuked back into lifeEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Thanks very much for the birthday wishes Wednesday & Caronc, I was treated to lovely lunch at a local restaurant but cooked scallops, black pudding and cauliflower puree for us both in the evening followed by a tasty cheese board.
Normality resumes today with a dive in the freezer for a portion of soup to have for lunch, then a simple pasta with hm sauce for tea.

Good morning everyone,
I stopped buying mixed sized eggs for the same reason from Tesco.
Dry and trying to be sunny after a wild day yesterday. Forecast dire for tomorrow though.
Last night I baked a piece of salmon and various in foil and had with a baked spud. There's salmon LO which I'll have with salad for lunch. Might make it into a sort of pate. Fishfinger sandwiches for dinner tonight with salad and homemade oven chips.0 -
It was rainy here today but it has warmed up a lot and is now sunny. I have just done the laundry and vacuumed and feel quite hot. I changed my jumper to a t-shirt.
I got chips from the chip shop last night. I have had toast and Marmite this morning. I got a pukka pie out of the freezer to have for lunch.0 -
Like Wednesday, wet start here (heavy rain when I woke up) but it stopped late morning and turned into a lovely sunny afternoon. Got a small load of washing mostly dry on the line. Just a pottering, domestic day today including a food shop.
Tuna and sweetcorn sandwich on lovely fresh Lidl bread for lunch. Mango chutney glazed baked feta with lentils and spinach and garlic bread tonight.0 -
Heavy rain first thing which meant a unpleasant drive to volunteering, however it stopped once I got there at 10am and we had a nice day, not that I got to enjoy its benefits working indoors 🙄
Scotch egg and salad for lunch. I didn't fancy my planned dinner as I had to eat early before going to the local theatre so just some toast and marmalade for dinner and some crisp bread with cream cheese and tomato when I got back home
our local cinema / theatre closes at the end of March for a year to revamp so I'm making the most of it 😁 it's a listed building so it's 20 year 10 million £ 'do over' is always a challenge for them to please everyone!

Dull with wind getting up & rain due any minuteI'm off to DS in a bit, so no CFO if I can avoid it, we may get to a GC café for lunch, but I'm just a tagger alonger at these events, so who knows? When I get back there’s plenty in the freezer should I fancy something, a frozen pizza or a nuked ready meal for oneEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
