  • Ooh, I need a rug N2BT - hadn’t thought to look in Matalan so will add to the list of places to try, I want to be able to see and feel not just order online and hope for the best.
There is quite a lot more choice and difference in price online than in the store I went to JKS, the mat is not very thick and narrower than I would have liked but its fine for wiping my feet on when I come in  :)

Oh well, maybe I’ll stick with dunelm then and accept it might have to go back…

Long, challenging work day so off to sleep soon. Soup for lunch and a quick hoisin prawn and pak choi noodle creation tonight, bit average but it was late and I was tired.

    Tomorrow is another day!

    Good morning everyone,
It's very dark here this morning but dry so far.
Cleared the "must do" this week admin yesterday so onto the rest of it today.
LO pasta for lunch and JO's double pepper chicken for dinner.
  • I prefer Dunelm too JKS but its a bit of trek for me to get to, about 2 hours and 3 buses

Dehumidifier arrived today, typically since I ordered it the night temp hasn't been too bad so no condensation on the windows  :D

Another lovely sunny but breezy day good for getting my washing on the line this morning.

Lunch was a simple event of crackers with cheese spread and some fruit. Peppers were starting to look a bit sad so I roasted them with a red onion and mixed with a portion of pasta sauce all ready for tea tonight.

  • It is really warm and sunny today. I'm getting quite hot in my living room as it is south facing.

I had a veggie sausage toasties for breakfast. Asda substituted a different type and I wasn't a fan. It was too warm to have tea with it so I just had sparkling water.

  • Another long day although slightly less challenging. Was awake far too early so I’m just off to bed.

Thai spiced sweet potato soup and toasted pitta for lunch. Sausage and mushroom gnocchi with broccoli tonight 😋

I got side tracked yesterday and forgot to post

I woke with a headache this morning so an easy day to start. I did pop out to Waitrose after 6pm when I don't have to faff with parking tickets 🙂 I only wanted a little fruit and veg but was tempted with some YSs and reduced meat on their meat counter, 3 lamb shoulder shanks for £3.25, a pack of 2 poached salmon for £2, some rose veal steaks £2.30 and a small half price gammon joint.  Oops I had been clearing freezer space 🫣

CBA to cook so flat bread with hummus for lunch.  A picky dinner of Serrano ham, mozzarella, olives, charred veg (reduced) and tomato when I got back from Waitrose

  • I had mashed avocado on toast. I feel a bit chilly so might put a jumper on.

    Good morning everyone,
What a great YS haul Brambling.
It's another very grey day here.
Apart from my grocery delivery it's another day of admin.
Last nights double pepper and I made the full amount of the sauce element (red onion, red pepper, chopped tomatoes, garlic, chickpeas and basil) so there's a fair amount LO which I'm going to turn into soup. Usual Friday tbc for dinner.
  • Not a very nice day weather wise but its ideal for catching up on a few chores indoors before the weekend starts.

Soup and a slice of toast for lunch and tonight a hotpot with peas and cabbage on the side.

  • Much better day at work and finished at a reasonable time 😊

More Thai sweet potato soup and toasted pitta for lunch. Made a pilaf tonight to have with coriander salmon, and broccoli.

    Very glad it’s the weekend!
