It looks lovely and sunny here today. I am going to go for a walk to appreciate the nice weather at this time of year.
I haven't had breakfast yet but I'm thinking toast with Bonne Maman marmalade and a chai latte.0 -
Good morning everyone,
Cold, grey and drizzling here this morning but after a few wild showers yesterday evening the wind has died down,
Home alone with Hector today as DS2 headed off to the office first thing. He should get back around 8.30 this evening so a long day as he was away just after 5am. At least it's not every week.
Admin and more admin for me today. Hector is snoozing he's shattered after Frank being here. Ari is arriving this evening for an overnight but the two of them are pretty chilled together.
The turkey broth was well received. I made a huge pan which served five of us with everyone bar me having second helpings. Four portions went home with the family and there's enough left for my lunch. Not bad for 1/2 a turkey carcass, a good whack of veg and a mug of broth mix.
Thai green pork & veg curry tonight using the rest of the roasted pork shoulder I froze a couple of weekends ago.0 -
That must have been a huge soup pot Caronc, always nice when everyone appreciates what you serve up
Beautiful sunny day here, I jumped a bus to go to Matalan - I'd spotted some rugs the last time I had a browse around so went back to pick up a runner for my hallway.
I had frozen most of the cheeses from the weekend cheese board but had a chunk of Roquefort to use so had it for lunch with a pear and some crackers.
Some of the gammon stash I have in the freezer for tea tonight, I'll have it with sweet potato wedges and some green pepper & sweetcorn salsa.

Ooh, I need a rug N2BT - hadn’t thought to look in Matalan so will add to the list of places to try, I want to be able to see and feel not just order online and hope for the best.
Sunny day here too but cooler.mWfh but nipped out at the end of my working day to collect a Boots order. Was going to get petrol while out but the queues were too long so must remember to do tomorrow when I go to the office.
LO spaghetti puttanesca for lunch. Early tea of beans with toast so I can swim in a bit 🏊♀️0 -
Caronc now I'm thinking about seeing if the FS has any turkey drumsticks as I usually make at least six portions of soup from one 😋
It's been a drizzly days so I had no incentive to go out. I completed some volunteer admin including an online training course for a second volunteering role, but their system wouldn't let me complete the other two courses, i'll wait for a reply from the trainer. I start the first of six half day sessions next week.
LO HM salmon pate with a toasted bagel for lunch with salad. LO chicken traybake with veg for dinner

Sunny start, but we had same yesterday & then if rained. Not that I'm up to much, for some reason my left knee is playing up, was fie last night, may have “slept funny”?Anyway, the Asda delivery arrived, nearly all there, couple of OK subs and meat is well in date. The Christmas pud is BBE Nov 2026, so no problems with that.My HM pizza turned out better than I expected, plenty left for today as well.Checking my shopping list, there seems to be offers on chopped toms around, so I'm getting some in for next HM pizza festLunch, cold HM PizzaDinner, HM burgers + salad bitsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Yep it was a big pot N2TBT - 5l and it was full to the brim and a proper rib sticker. Sounds like a plan Brambling, I love all broth mix/veg soups but turkey is probably my favourite.
Cool and overcast here but dry so far.
Despite a productive day yesterday I've still a fair chunk of admin to wade through that needs clearing by Friday so once the routine chores are out of the way I'll get on with that.
JO's sausage pasta for dinner and LO curry for lunch.0 -
It has rained here, but I had to go out to post off a birthday card and buy some cotton wool. I had some fresh bread and Flora when I got home and I'm about to have a smoothie with banana, papaya, mango and papaya.
I'm going to air fry some tofu and potatoes for lunch and have it with tomatoes, cucumber and leaves with a dressing.

Turkey meatballs and curry spiced coleslaw pitta for lunch.
Mince, new potatoes, buttery cabbage & sweetcorn for tea tonight.
