Brrrrr....quite a frost this morning, dehumidifier worked well overnight and I didn't have to dry down the windows this morning.
Glad to hear the knee is feeling a bit better Farway, keep taking it easy.
After the chat about broth this week I decided to make a pot this morning not quite Caronc's quantity but a good supply for the freezer and a portion for lunch.
Think I will treat myself to a chip shop tea tonight, depending on the size I may just opt for a single fish and have it at home with bread & butter and pickled beetroot.

Absolutely beautiful day here, towels and bedding dried on the line 😀
Set to and cleaned the bathroom this morning, as well as moving all the laundry round. Then off for a swim and back for flatbreads and beetroot houmous for lunch. Out to collect an order plus pick up a few bits then came home and made pea, leek and mint soup for lunches this week.
Ironed the few bits that needed it and made chicken thigh, leek and cannellini bean traybake for dinner. Plenty of LOs for the freezer and future meals this week 😋0 -
Good news about the knee Farway hopefully after a careful day it will carry on tomorrow
walked into town this morning with my sister and ended up carrying my jacket as it was so nice. We needed a birthday present to send to another sister and then had an iced bun and a cuppa for a healthy lunch in M&S! I was hobbling by the time I got back to my sisters' I'm seeing the physio again on Tuesday.

The beach was gorgeous yesterday. The tide was in and lots of people were swimming.
Today seems dull and grey, but still mild. I have had a banana and water so far. I am waiting for the man from the council to come and give me a quote for a bulky waste collection soon and then I will make proper breakfast.0 -
After yesterday's beautiful sunshine, it's back to grey & damp today, but good for the end of October so far.Knee continues to improve, but I'm taking it really steady to prevent setbacks, the most I'm attempting today is hobbling down to compost Dalek to empty my tea slops bucketMeals are in the use up stage now.A lettuce I had earmarked for salad was just compost when I looked.
It was a sub. Normally I have Cos or Iceberg, but the sub was bog-standard floppy round type, which reminded me why I never did them online shopping.

Good morning everyone,
Glad the knee is improving Farway.
Yesterday ended up as a thoroughly miserable day weather wise and chilly with it. I ended up popping the heating on for a couple of hours after lunch. A good day to have cottage pie for dinner though and there's LOs for lunch.
Dryish this morning and not nearly as cold but still very grey.
Admin (again!) on the "to do" today, definitely on the final bits of the accounts now thankfully. It's been the usual annual slog and my hands are protesting at all the typing so I'll be glad when they are done.
Lamb keema from the freezer for dinner with rice, naan and homemade raita.

Went into the city early on for a mooch around, pick up a voucher and a birthday card. Had time for a leisurely browse around Sainsburys as well, just to check out what's new, what's on nectar price and because I've got into a bit of a rut what I can plan ahead and put on my next online shop.
Picked up some fancy bread (reduced), hummus and stuffed cherry peppers for lunch. Also found some apricot and amoretto stollen bites, I've stashed them away at the back of the cupboard and will try and forget about them for a month or more
Mushroom and broad bean risotto for tea tonight.

Nice productive day in the office after being awake ridiculously early 🙄
Some of the pea, leek and mint soup for lunch with a cheese topped roll. LO chicken thighs and green beans got chucked into pesto pasta tonight for an easy dinner. There are LOs of the LOs…
Won’t be late to bed 😴0 -
Volunteering day at Petworth. It was really busy due to half term, the second hand book shop has four small tables and allow people to eat their own lunches there, the sun shine changed to rain which brought in people to eat their lunches TBH too many pushchairs, the space isn't really big enough. Lots of children popping in to find and count pumpkins
I'm also working Friday this week I may need a large glass of wine by the end of it
Salmon and cottage cheese salad for lunch. Easy dinner of mac n cheese with bacon

Knee continues to improve, so nearly back to my normal, just taking it easy with my leg for a bit.Weather is brighter, so may get to hobble into the garden just to check if any changesLunch, last of the crumpets, toasted & cheese toppingDinner, use up the SC chicken & some mushrooms in a casserole, chasseur type thing. I have a ready mix, just add water, packet to provide the flavours.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
