Glad you don't have any adverse reaction Farway

It's rained all day here so as I didn't need to go out I just pottered in doors and dried off his lordship a couple of times he prefers getting wet to using his litter tray 🙄

Bagel for lunch with scrambled egg and wilted spinach. FS Burger (no bun) for dinner with chipped LO new potatoes, onions, peppers and mushrooms

    Good morning everyone,
Back to grey and damp today though not actually raining.
Admin and more admin on the "to do" so that will keep me out of mischief!
LO curry for lunch and spag bol using ragu from the freezer for dinner.
  • It's a bit grey but dry and breezy so took the chance to get towels and thicker cotton stuff out on the line, at least they will get a bit of an airing.

I've been reorganising my freezer and updating inventory before shopping delivery arrives this afternoon. Therefore meals are all from freezer stock.

Lunch is beans on toast and tonight its moussaka.

  • Forgot to post last night. Yesterday was broccoli and Stilton soup for lunch. Used the LO roast pork along with some mushrooms to make a sort of stroganoff, served with noodles and green beans.

LO stroganoff and noodles for lunch. Just had beans with toast so I can swim later.

A bad night sleep for me, no reason other than I couldn't sleep so a lazy day at home for me

Bacon sandwich for lunch using the last of the bread from the freezer, I brought the bacon medallions from Sainsbury's using their nectar offer and found the tasteless which is impressive for bacon! I think the farm shop bacon has spoiled me 😋

Sea bass fillets from the freezer for dinner with chipped new potatoes and green vegetables.

I going to try and use all the odds and ends from the freezer where I've brought a multiple pack and divided, I put them all together and I'm going to just grab one and go from there, well after I've eaten the pie planned for tomorrow 😁

    Good morning everyone,
Grey and wet here though much milder.
We have all three pooches today after DS1 dropped Frank off first thing as they are going away for a few days. Ari goes home tonight and it will just be the two maniacs! That said they are all snoozing just now, long may it last.
Domestics and more admin today. The bathroom needs a good scrub after just get a quick wipe last week when we came back from the Borders. My sis and maybe nephew are coming for dinner, I'm making bangers and mash.
    LO pasta for lunch.

Sun has crept out, a big improvement on the recent grey dark days

Tasty bacon is hard, I may have just found decent streaky with Asda Exceptional range, but being New it could be flash in the pan. IME hidden changes to their product are common, and mostly are not for the better.

I've booked in for blood test tomorrow, just a routine one.
Something has changed with the annual checkups, used to have to be fasting test, no longer, used to have to supply urine, no longer. Not sure if NHS cutting back or different testing applied to the blood they now take, maybe age related?
I'll try to remember to ask when I go for results

Lunch, scrambled eggs + fresh tomato
Dinner, maybe spag bol, if the dried spag is where I think it is and not still on a shelf in Asda because I forgot to replenish :o

  • It feels very warm here today, it is meant to get up to 21 later. I am going to have a toasted bagel when Ocado gets here. I am probably going to have a freezer lasagne with salad for a later lunch.

  • Wet and windy here with some very big waves coming ashore, another hour to go before high tide and there's already some overtopping along the promenade.

Speaking of Sainsers bacon I've started buying the TTD air dried streaky it crisps up nicely so is great for butties as well as using in pasta/rice dishes and quiches - freezes well too  :)

Cottage cheese salad with some pickles and toast for lunch.

    Chicken pilaff tonight.

  • I'm a yellow sticker-fiend, so used some bacon + white bread (bacon sarnies never touch the sides - feels like I always need double-rations), and having sausage casserole for dinner (batch cooked, from the freezer). I have  nice looking cake I picked up from Bothams in Whitby, which I'm desperate to crack open (but already snacked something else today, so trying to resist).
