  • That looks lovely Caronc.

I had toast for breakfast and a veggie burger from Burger King at Paddington for lunch. It was absolutely pouring with rain 🌧  at the station.

That looks a great place for a family get together Caronc.

I had a walk around the town this morning whilst it was dry, managed to find a suitable 60th birthday card to get in the post. The shops are filling up with all the "C" stuff and I picked up a 2025 week to view diary for myself.

Fruit bowl needs emptying - had two pears with some cheese and crackers for lunch and I'll make a batch of banana scones this afternoon.

Tonight I'm having Halloumi fajitas, without the tortilla wraps so probably not a fajita but you know I mean, I'll have rice or couscous instead.

Mixed sunshine & showers today, windy as well.
The tum is much better, and I'm starting to feel normal again.

I've just ordered a dehumidifier, to see if it makes any difference to wet window panes. SIL reckons his does, so I'll see.
Also ordered gadget tin opener, the no hand required, sits on tin top battery type. I'm a bit dubious, but I sometime find even using my posh OXO opener is a struggle with wonky fingers.

Had to stew some apples, windfalls plus the bird pecks, be ideal in my recovering invalid tum mode

Lunch, scrambled eggs on toast + fresh tomato
Dinner, LO macaroni pudding & stewed apples

House looked ideal Caronc I'm glad you had better weather than last time 🙂

Blue skies most 9f the day with rain and thunder this evening.  Not much done today I popped out this evening and came home via Waitrose to avoid a milk shortage breakfast tomorrow 😮 I had a 50p voucher 😁 I didn't need much else but succumbed to cheap reduced mackerel and sea bass fillets from the fish counter when the assistant offered them 😁

ham and cheese toasted sandwich again for lunch.  Pork fillet from the freezer for dinner, just simple cooked in AF with new potatoes and veg with LO pork

Dry and sun trying hard, after very wet evening

My tum continues to improve, but not starving so it's light meals only

Asda delivery arrived, four subs & some not available items.
Subs worked fine, posh Lindt choccy bar in lieu of Asda own, Warburton crumpets in place of Asda.  :)
Luckily, this time I spotted water in the base of the delivery basket :o , so managed to catch two soggy Pukka pies and return them with the driver

Lunch, scrambled eggs + fresh tomato
Dinner, Own stewed apple + Greek yoghurt

    Good morning everyone,
Glad tum is improving Farway and you're feeling better.
Dull and damp here but not actually raining. It's supposed to get really cold tonight.
A pottering day for me catching up on various bits and bobs. I could really do with hoovering etc. but we have Ari until this evening and for a small dog he sure casts a lot of hair so it would just need doing again tomorrow so that can wait!
LO pasta for lunch and an easy butter chicken curry tonight using a jar of sauce.

I'll be interested to hear how you get on with the dehumidifier Farway. I must generate a lot of hot air whilst I sleep as I always get quite a bit of condensation on my bedroom window :D . I've been put off getting one because of the noise it might make and the cost of running it. I have a couple of old tea towels kept specifically for drying off the windows so will stick with that meantime.

Fried egg softie with brown sauce for lunch and defrosted a couple of chops overnight to make a pork stroganoff for tea tonight with some brown rice and steamed cauliflower.

I had a cereal bar and a cup of tea in the hotel this morning and a Cornish pasty for lunch that I bought from a bakery in Penzance. I was lucky with the weather as it is still warm and sunny.

    Lovely picture Wednesday, enjoy Cornwall.

Not sure why i couldn't sleep last night but i was still awake at 3am and his lordship decided 6.45am was a good time to demand attention  :/ so very little done today other than catch up on some reading and some TV.  I did pop out this evening for a hour but nothing else.

Some of my LO pork fillet with salad in a wrap for lunch.  Easy dinner of sausage, mushrooms, egg and chips

Dull and damp, looking very autumnal, but not in a pretty way, with dull yellowing leaves

It arrived OK, but I've not yet set it up, so can't comment on noise levels.
It works similar to fridges, with compressor, so I'm guessing same noise levels.
It's 200 Watts, which on my tariff of nearly 25p KwH is about 5p an hour running cost.
    Furthermore, it's about thigh high

Tum well and truly on the mend, and my appetite has returned. :)

    Lunch, crumpets with cheese topping
Dinner, salad, I fancy fish so hoping I've some frozen salmon in freezer, if not I'll open a tin with my new electric tin opener
