I have to book my flu jab. I tried to do it last month, but they said it was later this year.

I am very hungry this morning. I have to use up the food in the fridge so I'm making a Quorn stir fry for brunch to use up some of the veg.

Dull & looks like rain, but at least I had an undisturbed night last nigh, no urgent loo trips required

I hope the water helped Farway, I found flat lemonade or tonic works for me I think it's the sugar
It was just water until evening, then oddly enough i just fancied some sparkly lemonade, posh R Whites with sugar as it happens. At least it stayed down / in, and this morning I upgraded to a cup of tea, which tasted like Heaven after the last few days!
Still not really hungry & tum cramps at times, I had hoped to make a milky rice pud, but my rice has gone AWOL, so maybe a banana or dry toast?

    Dinner, banana, or toast

  • Greyer and cooler today but it stayed dry for a good leg stretch. Went for a fab roast dinner afterwards (and pudding 😉) so just a smoked salmon sandwich and a glass of wine this evening.

Weather back to grey and dreary ☔️ I was still having the after effects of my jabs today after a bad night with no comfortable side to sleep on.  I slept for a good couple of hours this afternoon so feel better and I'm down to just one sore arm the CV side 🙄

I donated my office chair on the local FB free site and my timid wee beastie fell in love with the lady on the doorstep, most unlike him he loves me and my nephew and tolerates 2 or 3 more people she was surprised as she has two golden retriever and  must of smelt of them 🤷‍♀️

A freezer rummage produced a fish cake which was lunch with the last of a bag of sweet potato fries.  Said freezer rummage also produced a YS steak with I had for dinner with stirfry peppers, shallots a d chill with rice

  • It is a lovely day here. Mild and sunny. My pets have been picked up to go to the kennels. I just did the laundry and changed the bed covers. I have hung some of it outside on the line to dry.

I had toast with flora and Marmite for breakfast.

I have to still use up some of the veg in the fridge. I'm not sure what to make.

  • Had a lovely day out and roast beef dinner yesterday, could be the last one for a bit as friend goes back abroad for the winter - lucky devil.

It can only be described as dreich here today and not likely to improve for a couple of days  :(

Another portion of the bean and pasta soup for lunch and tonight I'm having cauliflower shawarma, tahini sauce, salad & coleslaw

Sunny and windy, with Yellow Weather on the way

My tum is settling down a bit now, not 100% but better than it was.
It was suggested elsewhere that I may have Covid, and thinking about it, with my odd symptoms over the past few weeks maybe I have?
Tried to test but my kit is so old the fluid has evaporated so unable to test, and I'm not venturing out to buy one

OH dear, I'm due my jabs Saturday morning, something to look forward to :( . Actually last time I finished up a bit achey a few days later, just have to wait & see.

    Still tum friendly food
Lunch, scrambled eggs + fresh tomato
Dinner, slow cooker macaroni pudding. Using up surplus milk + tum friendly. Smells yummy and very glad I'm using a pot liner.

  • Have had a nice pottering day off today. Been swimming, done some errands, got some washing dry and some nearly dry (unforecast rain whilst I was out 🙄), bits of voluntary admin, bits of life admin. It’s very easy to while away a day isn’t it?

LO pizza with salad for lunch. Had a free Lidl brownie during the afternoon (the new bakery reward is too tempting!). Made sausage and fennel seed pasta tonight, served with broccoli.

Glad the tum is getting better I think it's just the same as last time, achy and tired for a couple of days the CV arm is still tender so I'll be sleeping on my right side again

Dentist check up this morning, I forgot I made it for 9am when I was still working, so I had to f8ght the school traffic etc into town, not a good day to do that 🙄 they are no longer NHS so definitely a ouch on the wallet but the only dentist in town which does NHS is a year old and has a lot of complaints on social media about their treatments.

Ham and cheese toasted sandwich for lunch.  Chilli from the freezer with LO rice for dinner

missed the forecast rain today but it is now hammering down ☔️

    Good morning everyone,
Hope tum continues to improve Farway.
We had a fab weekend in the borders and stayed here Shannobank farmhouse (main house + cottage) - Farm stays for Rent in Abbey Saint Bathans, Scotland, United Kingdom - Airbnb . The house was cosy and very comfortable but on lots of levels which was a bit tricky for me. It was a great place for a mixed family group to hang out and we had a very chilled few days and cooked lots of lovely food. The weather was kind and on Saturday was warm enough for us to sit outside for brunch at a local cafe. Back to old clothes and porridge now!
Tesco not due until later so fridge gravel for lunch. Tonight it pasta with a veggie and tomato sauce.
