Just dull, damp & gray here, a stick inside day if ever there was oneTime rushing by, had message from Waitrose, open for Christmas delivery slots, so went & booked mine, actually there were not many left so counting myself lucky and chose Saturday 21stHad to get & advance pay for a basket, but this time I learnt the lesson from last year, and I've added stuff that will keep, and I can use should I forget to amend the order. Last year I had a fresh turkey and left it too late to change.I've got a fresh loaf in the bread maker, but won't be ready for lunchLunch, grilled cheese on toast + pickleDinner, easy, frozen sausages, LO mash + LO beansEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I walked to the charity shop and back and it is actually quite warm. I was going to buy some bread from a bakery I hadn't tried, but my hands were full with what I bought at the shop.
The woman I'm watching on YT was having soup and bread for her lunch so I fancied that and had a tin of soup from Tesco. I think it was sweet potato and lentil and I toasted a pitta bread to have with it.0 -
Another bright sunny day here but the sea still has quite a few 'white horses' racing to shore. The window cleaner came around yesterday - wasted his time as the sea spray has made them all gunky again
A portion of carrot soup from the freezer for lunch and tonight it's the local butchers pork & apple sausages with mustard mash, steamed leeks & sweetcorn for tea.
Thanks for the "heads-up" re Christmas deliveries Farway that's something I hadn't thought about yet and as I only online shop every 4-5 weeks I probably need to do a bit of forward planning.

Good morning everyone,
My last post for a few days. I'm hoping the weather is better than last year when we were in the middle of the red alert area for Storm Babette!
I have a list just need to work my way through it now.
Fridge gravel for lunch and JO's gingery. garlicky black bean mince for dinner.0 -
Very, very cold this morning so threw together a mixed bean and pasta soup for lunch.
I made a double portion of mashed potato last night in order to have a topping for a fish pie using a smoked haddock fillet and a portion of parsley sauce from the freezer.
Enjoy your break away Caronc

Have a nice break Caronc. I missed where you said you were going!
I had a Pukka vegan sausage roll for breakfast and it wasn't all that nice. I won't be buying that again.
I also had a cup of tea as I bought a selection box. This was a chocolate flavoured one. Bird and Blend. Quite nice as I have given up coffee and I'm trying to think of replacements in the morning in winter.2025 GOALS
