Good morning everyone,
It's more like late rather than early Autumn here today. Wet, windy and only 9C!
Just me and Hector until this evening as DS2 left early doors to spend a day at the office. I think we'll both be happy to have a quiet day and Hector after a lie in is snoozing away in his favourite spot on the back of the sofa. I still have a mountain of admin to keep me out of mischief!
LO traybake for lunch. Tonight it's pasta with a chorizo and veg sauce using some very ripe home grown tomatoes.0 -
Very windy here too, think we are slightly warmer on this coast today but an artic blast due to bring a very frosty night tomorrow. Headed out early to the hairdresser this morning also booked future appointments till the end of the year.
Leftover chicken and broad bean pasta salad for lunch
Portioned and froze the gammon and stock keeping some back for tonight to make a savoury rice with gammon, peppers, sweetcorn and peas.

A day of heavy showers and sunshine 🤷♀️ choosing to rain each time I went out
I picked up my new glasses in town this morning and used the opportunity to pop into Savers for DW and washing tablets. This afternoon I had a hospital appointment luckily in the small hospital in town where I just managed to park as it started to rain, not helped by a elderly gentleman in a jag parking over the centre line between two bays 😡 I had put two hours on the car but went in early and was leaving on my appointment time 🙂 home via Lidl to see if any of their spanish week items appealed
Naughty lunch of a Swedish cinnamon bun from the Swedish cafe which is around the corner from Spec Savers 😁😋 Asian pork tenderloin for dinner with sticky rice and stir fry veg I was maybe a little heavy handed on the gochujang paste 🥵Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Damp, cold & windy, a day for looking out rather than being out. It's also bin dayLast of my ripe outdoor tomatoes picked, there are also a handful of runner beans waiting, but I'll leave them until, if ever, it dries up a bitLunch, another of crumpets + cheeseDinner, nice warming Pukka pie + HM chips, or maybe mash, and open tin of beansEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Back to lovely sunshine though it's chilly but I'd much rather this than the rain and wind. Yesterday was a horrible day and I ended up potting the heating on for a couple of hours late afternoon.
Still have some admin to catch up on but managed to clear everything that needed done by today.
Tesco due later and I must do some housework but that's about the extent of it. It's our annual family gathering next weekend and as usual I'm in charge of the catering so need to get that organised.
LO pasta for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner.0 -
Sunshine and showers here, didn't dare chance hanging washing out so its draped over the airer in the warmest room.
Mini pork pie for lunch with coleslaw and pickled beetroot.
Macaroni cheese with leeks and peas for tea tonight.

Some housework done this morning and prep work for dinner and tomorrow lunch. This afternoon I went to sort a few things for my elderly friend who amongst other stuff she has lost her blue badge after only six months, i have logged it online but I think she will need to pay for it again.
Cheese and ham salad for lunch. Meatballs and vegetable noodles for dinner with plenty of leftovers for lunches the colder weather means warmer lunches 🙂 my sister came around after dinner for a cuppa and a catch upLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I've got Caron's weather from yesterday, cold, still, bright & sunny. Yesterday was just wet & gloom! All being well, I hope to pick my grapes, at last I have some, only waited four years for it to crop. They are not big bunches such as found in supermarkets, but it's a start, and I reckon a better summer would give more.Found the bread for breakfast toast had gone mouldy when I came to use it this morning, so I've made a rapid loaf from a mix I keep in “just in case”, planning paid off this time.Lunch, now I have fresh bread it's BLT timeDinner, Use up, mushrooms, bacon, sausages, eggs & HM AF chips, and maybe LO beansEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Back to damp and gloomy after a very chilly night.
Pooch sitting today with Hector and Frank while the kids (not together) are gallivanting.
Trying to get organised for next weekend but apart from that not much planned.
