Beautiful autumn day here - two loads of washing dried on the line 🙌
I’ve meal planned and shopped but not much else today.
Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch. Creamy leeks and butter beans, roasted vine tomatoes and garlic bread tonight. Portion of leeks and beans gone in the freezer.0 -
Volunteering day today so I was indoors all day and missed the sunshine.lo noodles and meatballs for lunch. I didn't fancy the spaghetti sauce I made yesterday for dinner maybe as too similar to lunch, so some fruit earlier then some of the beef filo pasty triangles I made a few weeks ago, not pretty to look at but cooked from frozen and very tasty, some surprises as I forgot what I added with the beef 😁Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0

My heating cut in this morning, first time this season. A sure sign & just in time for fuel price increase this weekBack to porridge with fruit & yoghurt for breakfast.Dull and loads of rain and maybe flooding due later, not me flooding, I'm on a hillLunch, still with BLT and own breadDinner, last Pukka meat pie, with HM mash, last of my HG runners, carrots & use up celery heart, then listen to the rain tipping downEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
Another grey and chilly day here.
I'm going to cook a vat of ragu this afternoon so I can make ands freeze a lasagne for next weekend.
Yesterday for dinner I braised a small top rump steak with lots of veg and had it with mash from the freezer and cauliflower greens. There some LO for lunch. Roast lamb tonight with roasties, various veg and gravy.0 -
Moved onto a Walter Present scandi murder now finished Korean. Rather pleased with self as took a cheapo tin of chilli out of cupboard - why did I buy? - which I added stuff to incl some lentils, it was very nice then and froze couple of portions which got better when defrosted. Have got cheapo tin of chick in sauce in there so will add stuff to that. I dont "need" to get the really smart price foods but sometimes think I should so I do then when I open and they are a bit yuk wonder why. Opened tin of rice pud so have frozen 2 portions, also made some small cakes (out of mix) and froze 6 of them, should not eat so handy when got the fancy for something. Working on emptying freezer and cupboards but it is sooo hard when everything I buy is enough for a family and has to be portioned out and frozen, even tinned potatoes.

Very chilly night again last night, my heating is kicking in on a regular basis; think todays maximum temp is 12c so I've been busying myself with a few household chores.
Lunch was a few picky bits, leftover bean salad, lettuce & toms and a mini pork pie.
Got some lovely big bone-in pork chops in my delivery this week so I'll have one of them with boulangerie potatoes, carrots and peas tonight.

I woke coughing in the middle of the night not sure why but I'm ok this morning, must be something triggered the asthma maybe some dust in the bookshop at Petworth, so was a little slow starting today and had a none productive morning. I went to our local Theatre this afternoon to watch a on screen showing of a Matthew Bourne Ballet, i couldn't make it when the original screening was on, but it does throw you me going at 2.30pm in the afternoon. After dinner i did some admin for a new volunteering role, i need access to their email so i can start online training / induction next week, i think the first test was can you access their emails, setting up validation apps etc.
Portion of LO meatballs, vegetables and noodles for lunch and to make it a easy cooking day a portion of the spag bol sauce i made Friday for dinner, no pasta just some garlic bread and the second portion was put in the freezer to fill the gap the mince made

Grey and windy here today, felt much cooler. My heating has been on a bit.
Another easy day - some voluntary admin, some ironing, went for a swim, made soup for work lunches as the forecast this week is cold and wet 😕
Filled pasta, tuna, sweetcorn and sun dried tomatoes for lunch. Made a sort of stroganoff thing tonight - steak, LO cooked mushrooms/peppers/spring onions from the freezer, creme fraiche, mustard, splash of brandy. Served with noodles and green beans.0 -

Or noxious French nuclear fallout.Actually, my eyes are also itching, so I wonder if I have some sort of cold / lurgy / flu thing.Poured down all night and still gloomy grey this morningLunch, last of the BLT sarniesDinner, not sure, freezer surprise I thinkEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I had a hospital appointment just after lunchtime so got a late morning bus into the city, grabbed a sandwich and water from m&s for my lunch and sat in the city centre gardens to eat before heading up to the hospital.
Had enough time for a scout around the ladies clothing department before getting the bus back home.
Took a piece of salmon out of the freezer before I left this morning, I'll have it with boiled rice and ss peas, so that will be an easy tea tonight.
