  • Another miserable wet day here, doesn’t feel very warm this evening either.

Really enjoyed some of the Thai spiced sweet potato soup that I made yesterday for lunch today, along with a toasted pitta. Nice easy tea of pasta with tuna, green beans, peas, pesto and creme fraiche. LOs for lunch tomorrow ✅

A dreary day here until about 3pm, I popped into town to collect something and the rain suddenly stopped 🙂 I was also lucky when someone handed me their carpark ticket with over a hour left

second visit this week to our local theatre tonight to watch a on screen showing of Othello from the Globe it was last minute invite from a friend, very good and set in current times we saw a version last year set in the original time so had dithered about going.  My hip hasn't appreciated the cramped theatre seats two days running so I've taken a couple of painkillers to hopefully sleep:s

late lunch of cheese on toast after a lunchtime learning session as part of my training for volunteering role, very interesting.  A portion of  chilli from the freezer for dinner as I had to leave just after 6.30pm

Dry & sunny but a bit chilly, spotted a few flowers on my runner beans, but I don't think they'll come to much now.

Lunch, cheese & sliced fresh onion sarnie
Dinner, braised beef casserole, took the beef out of freezer last night, and I'll cook it in a low oven this afternoon

    Good morning everyone,
Bother I must not have pressed submit on my post yesterday, Never mind I was mainly moaning about putting my back out on Sunday afternoon and being very grateful I already had my routine physio appointment booked for yesterday! Dinner last night was yoghurt chicken curry.
It's a bright but chilly day here. I'm still very stiff and sore but it's a walk in the park compared to yesterday thankfully.
A day of very gentle pottering for me before my sis comes for dinner this evening. We're having cauliflower cheese with various veg and homemade oven chips. As I was making a pot of bechamel for the monster lasagne for Friday it seemed like an easy win. Said lasagne was assembled yesterday evening and I'll freeze it today ready to take away.

Sunny but very windy day, loads of white water with seriously large waves rolling to shore. Having a quiet kind of day after all my gadding about yesterday, catching up on admin stuff mostly, paying bills and insurance renewal.

Leftover salmon and rice for lunch.

Tonight I'm copying Brambling with some chilli which I'll have with some sweet potato wedges and ss peas.

Another dreary day weather wise so i stayed home.

A freezer rummage came up with a surprise of a portion of roast tomato soup made at the end of the winter so I had that for lunch before this years soup made it's way into the freezer.  Dinner was macaroni and cheese with some bacon and LO runner beans to add some veg!

  • I have mostly been ordering supplies to build an ark 😂. It has rained and rained again most of today here but luckily was wfh.

LO pasta for lunch. Early tea of beans with toast before swimming this evening.
  • I felt chilly last night. I had a hot bath and realised that my feet were freezing and so I got out my winter booties that I wear indoors and it made such a difference. It looks okay today and feels quite warm still.

I have had a cup of mint tea and I am going to have crumpets with Bonne Maman marmalade and a chai latte.

    Good morning everyone,
    Another bright but chilly day.
My back is definitely improving, still painful and stiff but I'm moving much more easily.
Need to finalise a Tesco order and work my way through a rather long to do but I'll pace myself so I don't set things back.
LO cauli cheese for dinner. I'm CFO tonight so it will be something easy.
